Via my Twitter feed, some Japanese game devs actually wanted to support GG, and this is the response they got:

To fight both of three things.

Oh man, I just played my first match since July of last year. I was a nervous wreck throughout the whole team, but my team had some pretty damn good synergy and instincts it seemed. I knew to not over-extend my reach since I was playing Sniper. I ended up 3-3-22. Which isn't bad! 1:1 personal kill/death ratio, and then involved in a ton of engagements. Felt good. I changed up my usual order of buying things on Sniper and it seemed to make a big difference. I was up against Magnus in the middle lane which was pretty terrifying, because his initiation on me hurts hard (though he can't really pursue me for squat after). I managed to dodge a gank he tried to set up with a Juggernaut; the Jugg got me a moment later when I was recovering health hanging back with his Ult, which didn't make me feel too bad. I think the other team was suffering from a lot of "no, -I- am the super-star of this team!"

I nailed 7 out of 10 of the team invites to TI. I incorrectly chose MVP, Alliance, and Na'Vi.

90 for three months isn't as bad as it can get, believe me. I'm trying to settle in still on this move but in a week or two when my work schedule normalizes I'll see what I can do tegan, should it come to that. But I hope a job is found in that time.

Idle Thumbs 209: Ten Percent Success Rate
Henroid replied to Jake's topic in Idle Thumbs Episodes & Streams
"They're not children, they're 'younglings'." God. Damn. It. -
Yeah seriously, LC is the worst jungler out of any jungler that ever jungled.
-
I haven't played since July but I think it's time I start swinging back into things. But I'm gonna practice-round a lot on lords I used to play as first, at least, to see what's changed (in context of playing) and what sorta guides have shown up. All I can figure out, looking at things just super briefly, is that Legion Commander can actually jungle now? Technically could before, but I mean it'll be easier and make more sense.

"Conflict of interest!" "On what grounds?" "She disagrees with us!"

Almost successfully moved in. Tomorrow I go into my transfer location for work to get some details down about my employment here. Then I'll feel it's proper to be fully relaxed. Also Las Vegas is effing hot.

132 isn't that bad it seems. Just under ten matches and you can get an item set?

The Baltimore cops involved in the murder are being charged with murder by the way. Which is a triumph in that the legal system is giving this a chance, but it's still not a conviction for murder.

Rewards were tied to leveling your Compendium last year as well. As for the tickets for TI 2015, there wasn't exactly a big-huge announcement of them being available.

Oh yeah there's only 4 days to go on predicting who is invited directly. They have the following teams available to choose from in the pool and only 10 will get direct invites. Since I know shit-all about the pro scene and only follow The International, I just chose who I know from last year. Americas - Complexity - Evil Geniuses - eHug - Void Boys - Not Today - Pain Gaming - Team Tinker - Union Gaming - Wheel Wreck While Whistling China - CDEC Gaming - Team DK - EHOME - HyperGlory Team - Invictus Gaming - LGD Gaming - Newbee - TongFu Team - Vici Gaming Southeast Asia - Team Malaysia - Execration - First Departure - Invasion - Mineski - MVP Phoenix - Signature.Trust - Rave Europe - 4 Anchors and a Sea Captain - Alliance - Virtus.Pro - Hellraisers - Team Secret - Cloud 9 - Team Empire - Natus Vincere - Ninjas in Pyjamas

The Compendium for TI 2015 became available yesterday apparently. It's already nearing the $2,000,000 mark. The stretch goals this year have been plotted out up to $15,000,000. I just bought the "get to level 50 immediately" version because I got a Compendium for free last year and enjoy it that freaking much. Still gotta buy one for the guy who got me that. Anyway, it begins. On the first pages (at the moment) you'll be given a prediction page for what teams will be directly invited to the International. There's a challenge page where you get 3 challenges assigned. Completed challenges are cleared after 5 days. Each slot can be replaced with a randomly rolled challenge every 3 days. One of mine is to purchase Radiance before the game clock hits 25 minutes, for example. They also have a coin system going this year, and your compendium level can affect the rate at which you earn them. I'm gaining them at a rate of 125% I guess. You get the coins by completing the challenges, and they're spent on items and sets (100 for items, 1000 for sets). No context at how fast those are earned just yet. There's a couple pages for your Immortal Treasures earned throughout this whole thing, but these are locked behind the grand total wall.

The Chozo aren't dying out, they were just freaked out over losing their spirituality. They've abandoned known space and become tribal recluses by choice. Tallon IV, while full of dead Chozo, isn't like a Chozo burial ground or where they went extinct. They actually state in records in Prime that they abandoned the planet because the Phazon made it unlivable.
-
I love the way he phrased that. Also this explains why I was seeing people say that basically all Star Trek persons aren't on GG's side.
-
I'm not sure that "Samus learns about the Chozo as a whole" was an intention of Prime. Maybe the player does, but it doesn't really ruin, to me, that Samus may be reading shit she knows already. The history is also more specifically rooted in Tallon IV. Also she was rescued by the Chozo because Ridley is a mf'er. As for her training... who knows. And frankly, does it matter? I thought the power suit was very early (in the series) explained to be Chozo tech she was given.

The Business Side of Video (Space) Games EXCLUSIVELY ON IDLE THUMBS
Henroid replied to Henroid's topic in Video Gaming
Ouya? OH YEA- oh wait actually it's oh no. http://www.digitaltrends.com/gaming/ouya-must-find-buyer-quickly/?utm_source=310EI&utm_medium=RSS -
If the game was randomized with dodging and stealthing around the SA-X it would've been even better, sure.

I love the changes to Legion Commander so much. The Agh's ability on her is gonna be great.

I'm not surprised. And nobody else should be when, over the next year and a half, a lot of previously XBONE exclusives get pushed onto other platforms. -

... Wow. I mean... Okay it makes sense to close it down since it immediately became a clusterfuck. At least they reacted faster than Blizzard did with the Diablo 3 auction house. -
Just saw my coworkers for the last time. I clumsily put together a "let's go to Denny's one more time!" event, and it was a success. Everyone had a good time and it was what I was concerned with most. The whole night I wasn't feeling bummed out or anything. It wasn't until I got onto Twitter, IRC, etc that I started to well up a bit, just mentioning to online-folks about it. I call my coworkers "kids," because I've got at least 10 years in age on a lot of them. Over my time with them I worked myself into a position of always giving advice, but also lecturing (fairly) to them about things they shouldn't have done and why. And like... they listen. And that's such a strange feeling to be taken with that sort of regard. I'm gonna miss them a lot. I came to work at this place just needing a pay check, against the idea of making friends on the job, and I'm walking away from it (moving on with my life) hurting. Feh. Stupid human emotions.
