I love the turn this thread has taken, given its title e: most psi powers that don't work on robots are marked as such in the description if memory serves. I think pyro doesn't work on robots, and cryo does but it's probably best to quicksave and test for yourself.

Yes, one of your stats (I want to say Strength) adds one 3-slot row of inventory, and there's a mod that boosts that stat as well. These tips are awesome. Also, just rebind the controls, they can be set up to mirror modern ones pretty easily. The only thing that keeps getting me is that esc goes to main menu rather than closing inventory. Skyrim had the same problem recently if memory serves.

The Idle Book Log: unofficial recommendations for forthcoming Idle Thumbs Book Clubs.
osmosisch replied to makingmatter's topic in Books
Interesting review, thanks for the link. I actually found myself going back to the book mentally every so often over the past few weeks but mainly in the process of adjusting my opinion downwards slightly, precisely for the reason that it wasn't sticking with me otherwise. A strange experience. -
Yeah, shtup is awesome, the rest I wouldn't put in on first playthrough.

^^^^ Yeah, with a little practice you can get the proportion rice/water just so that the rice is done when the water is gone. Very easy. Do this with Trainspotting!

Idle Thumbs 94: Readers Like You

Has someone got a good photo of F. N. Breckon Esquire for me? On account of reasons. -
Of recent games, Path of Exile is really doing it for me. You wash up as an exile and all the early-game armour and weapons are really grody. The sun is low and there's all kinds of weird creatures... it just clicks with me somehow.

gog does sales very frequently, just like Steam. That said, SS2 is worth it at full price in my opinion. They have been attractive since their launch, when they made Sacrifice and Giants and the Fallouts available again.

The Idle Book Club 6: The Crying of Lot 49
osmosisch replied to Sean's topic in Idle Book Club Episodes
Great cast guys. I think it bears repeating that Illuminatus is the closest parallel to this book that I've read, although it has probably less meaningful aspirations. It's from pretty much the same period and handles a lot of the same subject matter. Also potentially interesting: there's a pretty good boardgame based on Thurn & Taxis -
I've fainted due to hitting my head after accidents twice, once getting hit by an ice-skater and once getting hit by a car on my bike. Besides that, I've once fainted after cutting my middle finger to the bone right at the base while shelling walnuts, and then going to clean the cut by hitting it directly with a stream of cold tap water. Not my brightest idea, that. Oh, and I'm not allowed to give blood because my blood pressure's low enough that it would be guaranteed to knock me out. Every time I absolutely hated the sensation of swimming/clawing my way back to consciousness and having to make an actual effort to remember who I was and what was going on. The unmoored, chaotic feeling was terrifying to me. Yuck.

The Idle Thumbs Lords Management Consortium - Dota 2, LoL, other Lords Managers unite

Oh, yeah, same. Honestly I can't say it's very good yet, but they're on record as saying that they have a lot of time reserved to get it up to snuff. I should check if that means that the NDA's lifted now. -

A girl, she's called Hanna. I tried to get something nerdy like for her sister (Ada) but couldn't really come up with something that was acceptable to both me & wife. My top choice there was Marie (for Curie) but no dice, alas.

If you are interested in hearing Gabe talk you'll also want to consider to the two issues of the Nerdist podcast that he was on. I haven't watched the videos yet but I imagine there'll be a fair amount of overlap. Still, that's more conversational so you can probably get a better idea of what he's like in interaction. -
Given that XNA development has officially halted, XBLIG is on death watch anyway unless something is rolled out to replace it.

Well if you can use different logins on one machine (and I see nothing to indicate otherwise unless that's what the first sentence means) then you can just go over to a friend, login on your account there and play whatever. Like Steam. e: I wonder how they're going to fix this in Germany where there's a law that states people should be able to resell what they purchase.

When I first read Dune I thought it was the Gom Jabba for a bit, and was giggling at the thought of a box with a tiny Hutt in it.
