Not often, honestly. It has recently been the cause of a handful of inconvenient situations for us though. Lately we've been looking to move to an alternative like RocketChat. All of that aside, I think Slack is great.

It seems like a lot, but it only took ~5 of us to reach the limit after around 14-15 months. I'd imagine that this group would burn through it a lot faster. As long as we go into it without the expectation of having a fully searchable/browsable history, then it will be fine. Just offering a heads up.
-
Yeah, once your slack goes over the limit, older messages get archived away and become unreadable. Might not be a problem for this specific purpose; it's just something worth knowing as it's a problem I'm dealing with at the moment.
-
The only issue with Slack is that you'll eventually run up against the message limit using the free version. But yeah this is a good idea, I'm in.

Wowow the HUD and screen FX are perfect. Does this have a name yet?

Thanks!

This is the game that my buddies and I ended up making last weekend. We didn't enter it into Duplicade for aforementioned reasons; but it didn't really fit the theme anyway so no huge loss. It's called Alien Cow Snatchers. http://supercore.itch.io/alien-cow-snatchers

My computer broke down last night, and in the ensuing panic trying to fix it, I forgot to submit my game .

Could be still the case, I haven't heard anything to the contrary. None of my builds run on either browser though, so I imagine there's another issue at play. Yeah I heard something similar; I've tried both local and from a server. Thanks guys, I'll let you know if I ever come across a solution.

Metal Gear Online looks interesting: https://www.youtube.com/watch?t=608&v=tDNOesE9do8

Hey, do any of you folks have experience with HTML5 builds? My project will build successfully, but I'm not able to run it in browser. The documentation is pretty sparse too . Anyone here had any success with it?

Hah, I get it. Was the sheep used because there was no camel option?
-
Yeah it is; my silenced pistol is a bit redundant now so I've been trying out some new secondary slot weapons .

There was a Song Exploder episode on this: http://songexploder.net/daedelus -
Please do! I'd be super interested in reading it.

I'm a little bit lost on this one. I have a really good idea for a game that fits the theme of "twins", and it's something I think I can make within the time limit; but it doesn't fit the knockoff/bootleg theme at all and I can't think of an adequate way of shoehorning it in.

Yeah, I don't know if it's a UK thing in particular, but there's an awful lot of vitriol towards cyclists and I don't know why. Maybe it ties into the whole "I own the road" mentality a lot of car users tend to have. I say this as someone who drives and doesn't cycle btw, so I've never been on the receiving end of any abuse. I've definitely heard others express their hate of cyclists, but whenever I ask why there's never a satisfying answer that doesn't amount to the "The road is for cars" sentiment.

Oooo that looks tempting. I was planning on doing a weekend jam with some friends this month anyway so I may end up participating in this one.

Idle Thumbs 226: "Console Wars and Hedge Dog" or "The New Far Cry 2"
zerofiftyone replied to Jake's topic in Idle Thumbs Episodes & Streams
I read this, and imagined that whilst typing, Jake was taken by the robots and then immediately replaced by a robo simulacrum. -
MMMmmmm that looks so good. I'm going to bake some as well. If it goes well I'll post pics.

(Ah, that makes sense. Thanks for the correction) That's a cool idea; do you have a link to the recipe to hand?

Melon pan bread is the best! It's one of my cuisine highlights from my recent trip to Japan. Looking at that picture on the wiki page is starting to bring back fond memories.

Ugghhh that stuff looks so good. Ever since I moved onto Unreal Engine, this is the thing I've missed most about Unity; the community is so huge and as a result there's so much in the way of interesting open source tools and assets.
