  1. Books, books, books...

So, lately I've been watching a lot of Arrested Development. I have also started reading Kurt Vonnegut's Slaughterhouse Five. And I can't help but hear the Arrested Development narrator's voice when I read the narrator in Slaughterhouse Five. It's weird.
  2. Life

Well, if you're just sending money every month to complete strangers, I mean, I could use that to help with my rent... But seriously, congrats on getting rid of auto-renew. I tried doing that about 2 years ago. It took an absurd amount of time.
  3. Life

Thats similar to how one of my friends got his copy of The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening. Except, while it technically still worked, you could not save the game.
  4. Movie/TV recommendations

Growing up, our TV only had CBC and TVO (for most of my childhood; later on we got a satellite dish.) The Red Green Show and Royal Canadian Air Farce were the comedies I grew up on (even if I didn't fully understand what they were talking about) along with The Simpsons.

Miffy: Congrats! Tegan: I know that feeling... Just with 2L coke bottles.
  6. Movie/TV recommendations

I love Corner Gas. Although, it might just be the people I hang around with, but Corner Gas was kind of a popular thing when I was in highschool, so I've never really thought it didn't get enough attention.

Well... I mean... it looks nice, at least. I agree with Rodi on the revenge thing. There is no sense in getting worked up constantly over something in the past that you can't do anything about. And wanting others to fail just leads to bitterness. Its not a good thing.
  8. Recently completed video games

It isn't the first time I've done so, but I just finished The Secret of Monkey Island Special Edition today. And by today, I mean like... 15 minutes ago. I love that game. I love it so much. Not as much as Curse of Monkey Island, but I still love it.
  9. Discworld

There, just finished The Light Fantastic last night. These are some great books. I guess I'll continue by using that chart posted earlier, as it was only coincidence that led to me reading two Rincewind books in a row, and I feel like I should see his stuff through.
  10. I Had A Random Thought...

Well, I'm glad to know my stupid decision at least made someone's day better.
  11. Monkey Island 2: SE

So after seeing Zeus talking about this game I feel like going through Monkey Island 1 & 2. I have both of the Special Editions on Steam and already downloaded/installed. (I would also continue on with Curse and Escape, but those I have the actual disc copies of, and the discs currently reside at my parents house)
  12. I Had A Random Thought...

Don't follow through on random thoughts. Today, I was at a takeout place waiting for some food, sitting on a stool waiting. And I noticed a spider on me. A thought flashed through my mind - "Punch it into oblivion, like a superhero would!" It's a shame I didn't notice what part of me the spider was on, because I went ahead and punched myself in the crotch without thinking. In front of many people. Painful AND embarrassing.

I'm sorry to hear about your grandmother Gormongous. My grandmother passed away due to a brain tumor when I was in 8th Grade. She survived 2 years longer than doctors originally estimated. She was getting old and they didn't think she would survive any attempts to remove the tumor.
  14. Discworld

Well I finished Color of Magic and am about halfway through "The Light Fantastic". I am loving these books so far.
  15. Nextbox 1080: The Reckoning

I do not have an R4. All of my GBA and DS games are physical cartridges. I just never bothered to get one.
  16. Life

So. Some might notice I haven't been on here for a little while. Long story short: One of my roommates had to buy a new computer because his got fried. He had to download a bunch of software and stuff to get back to a relatively normal computing experience. In 9 days we had used up all available bandwidth for the month. I am restricting myself from using internet except when I need it. Damn Internet caps! Damn them I say! I also found out this morning that, back in 4th Grade, I was in anger management therapy. That's a weird thing to mostly forget about and then have your mom tell you that's what it was. I'm not sure what I think about that.
  17. Movie/TV recommendations

I recently watched "Rubber". That movie was... quite odd. But it was pretty well done, a lot better than I expected upon hearing what it was about. I found it funny and entertaining.
  18. Life

Wow, that's really good news. I'm glad to hear your brother is doing so well.
  19. Discworld

Well, this is quite the coincidence. Last night I started reading "The Colour Of Magic". I had read one of the Discworld books a few years ago ("Making Money", I believe it was called?) and loved it, so I decided to start reading more of the Discworld books. And then this popped up today. Neat!

Ah, very good choices. I liked the Twins, but I think my favorite story was the Hillbilly's. Anyways, I (finally) just finished Dishonored. I went total chaos, killing everyone I saw. I had so much fun with this game, although I found I really didn't care about the story, I just wanted to play around in the city sneaking places and killing guards.

Ahh. I loved The Cave. I've played through it more times than I would care to mention. I worked hard at it and got every single achievement (XBox360 version). To this day my friends and I will still shout out "Shut up!" in an old man's voice, or "Gal durn mine cars!" if something doesn't go our way. We refer to engines as dynohypernators and keys as smurgs. To say that The Cave has affected my life is a bit of an understatement, and I can only hope that one day I will be part of the creation of such a monumentally fun game. Also, which characters did you go through as? (Depending on who you went as, some of my references won't make any sense, because of the nature of The Cave.)
  22. Plug your shit

Wow, that looks insanely fun. And a Beta signup? Count me... signed... up. Yeah. But seriously, this looks really cool, and I really want to play it.
  23. Books, books, books...

I read Edgar Allan Poe's "The Murders in the Rue Morgue" last night. I was interested in it, and I love that style of mystery story. But... I can't lie, I was disappointed to find out who did it.

THERE CAN'T BE A FREE MARkET UNTIL WE GET RID OF BIG CORPORATIONS LIKE WALMART OR STARBUCKS! Also, those tweets are disgusting, and as a white male between the ages of 18 and 49, I feel like I should be apologizing.
