  1. Coraline Questions and Spoilers

Maybe, even though they were created by Spider Terri Hatcher, they were given free will, and developed some weird moral compass that made them not like what she was doing, so they tried to help? I dunno, its also been a long time since I've seen the movie.
  2. Weird Medical Shit

This is a bit different from the other stuff on this thread, but in my first year of college I developed a "salivary gland stone". It was probably the most painful thing I have ever experienced, except maybe that time a knife slipped and I ended up stabbing myself in the hand.
  3. Movie/TV recommendations

Keanu Reeves will forever be Ted to me.
  4. Neptune's Bountiful Pride: The Sequel

In my most recent game, I had 3 "allies" swoop in and destory me. Its on Tick 13 right now, and all I have left is one fleet of ships traveling from star to star, just trying to survive. ...this must be how surviving Nazis felt.
  5. Using Games as a documentary medium

I think it would be interesting to look at the differences in perception between games like Cart Life that aren't specifically real but emulate reality, versus Medal of Honour style games who use real events but game-ify them to an almost unrecognizable degree. But I'm not the one writing this.
  6. Using Games as a documentary medium

I came here to mention "Super Columbine Massacre RPG". An RPG made in RPG Maker that covers the events of the Columbine shooting. I remember watching a video about the making of it, where the creator talked about how much he worked on trying to recreate the events so that it could be better understood, as well as a coping mechanism for himself. I was actually kind of interested after watching the video, but I've still never played it myself.
  7. Computer games of all kinds are just awesome.

I approve of this message. Games are awesome, and for all the complaining people like to do about the industry or about the small things in games, they are still amazing feats of technology and artistry that are just so much fun.
  8. Nintendo 3DS

Woah. I'm sorry for pulling a bit off topic here, but I just got a major nostalgia kick. The first computer my family got when I was a kid had Myst and The Journeyman Project 3: Legacy of Time as part of a huge bundle of other games that came with it. Myst I hear about all the time, but The Journeyman Project... I loved that game. I was blown away by the graphics (previously only having played Reader Rabbit or Solitaire), and the idea of games with VOICES was astounding to me. I spent hours and hours playing that game, trying to find my way through it. It was, I believe, the first adventure game I had ever really played. Thanks to this post, I am now looking at stuff about Starship Damrey, and so far it looks really cool. So thanks for that.
  9. Now, before I say what I'm about to say, remember that I am not a lawyer. But I do recall hearing that one portion of... either copyrights or trademarks? ... was that the owner must take action to prevent people from using it as they see fit. Now, granted, I doubt Nintendo is in danger of losing IP to inactivity or what-have-you, but it's one thing to consider. Maybe. All that said, I think a lot of people are overreacting. And people who do those videos for money will switch to other games. Theres a whole WORLD of games out there.
  10. Dragon's Crown: Gaze past the giant witch tits

I laughed much harder than I probably should have.
  11. Papers, Please

I remember getting stuck at that point as well, and not really being sure what to do.
  12. I Had A Random Thought...

There is no formula for making friends. No specific way means friendship is not science. If it's not a science, then friendship is magic. ...the bronies were right.
  13. Dragon's Crown: Gaze past the giant witch tits

Also just have armor that is nothing more than a chain-mail banana-hammock.
  14. Human Passage (Animal Crossing tribute)

This looks pretty neat. I actually like the art style, personally.
  15. Post your face!

I was going to post a high-five emoticon thingy here, but since I don't see one, have one of these:
  16. Life

I would imagine having sex with a vegan is like having sex with anyone else: Something I will never experience.
  17. I feel like a lot of responses to this are knee jerk "Nintendo is being an asshole" responses, when in reality they are not doing as bad as they could (say, requesting all videos be taken down). I might be underestimating the impact here, but now that Ive had time to think about it... I don't think its that much of a big deal that Nintendo is actually trying to hold onto their intellectual property.
  18. Super Metroid Appreciation Station

I've tried playing Metroid games before... I just can't get into them. I just dislike the whole "Find a new item then go back and look through every room to find the place to use the new item to progress". I will say, that of the Metroid games that I have played, Super Metroid was probably the most fun to me. But at the same time, I still could not finish it, not for lack of skill, but because I just didn't want to keep playing it.
  19. Life

Yeah, everyone who generalizes is an ass!
  20. Post your face!

I'm only 22. And I recently shaved off the beard that I had been cultivating through college. ...I guess I just don't belong here.
  21. Things That Improve Your Life

I somehow manage to keep my shoes for a long time. I think its mostly because I keep wearing them until they literally fall apart as I walk. I had one pair that lasted me from Grade 11 until about a week before I graduated from college. They were a $20 pair of sneakers from WalMart. One of the best pairs of shoes I ever bought.
  22. I Had A Random Thought...

Wow. Thats... that's pretty depressing, right there.
  23. The threat of Big Dog

Its to increase profit margins for struggling companies by increasing efficiency through automating their panhandling branches.
  24. Movie/TV recommendations

I liked it enough. I watched it once in theatres, but I went with friends after being awake for almost 2 days straight, so I slept through the whole thing... I then rented the DVD later on and watched it. it's not the greatest movie I've ever seen, but its far from the worst.
  25. Movie/TV recommendations

As I was walking towards my home, a young man riding a neon green bike shouted to me, "Tron Legacy, check that shit!" So, if you want recommendations from strangers on bicycles... go watch Tron Legacy.
