I had night owl ordinance, but I've gotten to the point where keeping my flowers watered has begun to feel like a chore. Also, even though I never run, my grass wear is getting bad from walking around watering flowers everyday. So, yesterday, I enacted the beautiful town ordinance and set my clock back by three hours. This way, I can just spend my time doing what I want, without feeling like I *have* to do chores, and I can still play at hours that are convenient for me without all the stores being closed already. In general, don't forget the holidays are coming up. Like, with Halloween, you may want to stop by your store everyday starting Oct. 1 to buy candy to use on Halloween. And Shammack, I just picked up my old Wild World copy to let my nephew play, and although there were weeds and roaches everywhere, all the animals still lived there that were there last time I played it, which was years ago. Also, on a side note about the weeds, a friend who hasn't played in about a month signed on the other night to play. She said that Leif was waiting on her in her village because there were so many weeds. He had her pull them as part of a mini game that resulted in her being rewarded with a lily record player. This is part of a series you can only get that way and on weeding day. So, even if you don't feel like playing all the time anymore, it may still be fun to play occasionally.

I'm still playing and have been since day one. Lots of days, I just do routine maintenance. Water flowers, pick weeds, dig up fossils, etc. I don't have Gracie's store yet and haven't completely upgraded my house. However, even though the day to day had become somewhat mundane, there are holiday events to look forward to. I've been collecting pieces to use as costumes on Halloween since day one. I need to organize them all as outfits so that I can change quickly on Halloween. If you have enough outfits and candy, you can get the whole set of Halloween furniture in one night. Also, Christmas is coming up, with another furniture set. One thing I've done in the past at this point in the game, when everything is mostly finished, is start a new character in my town. Then, I have more storage space, have two homes to decorate, and I usually make my second character the opposite sex so that they can wear different kinds of clothes. One thing I intend to do when I get enough extra bells, etc. is go to the international islands and give gifts of bells, wetsuits or clothing pieces (especially rare wetsuits and Gracie clothing) to players who are new to the game. Or if you see someone trying to get enough medals to buy an item, buy it for them. I had quite a few Japanese players do that for me when I first started playing and it was a really nice gesture that I appreciated and would like to pass along.

Thanks, Teggy!!

Is anyone playing tonight? One of my villagers wants me to go to another town to collect signatures...

I got mine this month. Just keep your town perfect and ask Isabelle everyday. I think it takes 15 days, but I guess it doesn't matter that you can't ask her about it on Sundays.

Tegan, you could also submit designs to be printed on tshirts at teefury, threadless, etc. A lot of them are mash ups of more than one show, game, character, etc. but they also print takes on well known single topics like Dr. Who, Star Wars, etc. Check out their websites. It may be a good way to get your first ones on shirts with no money required from you. You'll get paid a percentage of each shirt sold. You keep the rights to your artwork, and once it's not for sale on the tshirt site anymore, you can sell the same design on redbubble, etsy, wherever. I just think this may be a way to get a little cash while you learn more about selling prints, etc. Your artwork is GREAT! I would buy your shirts!!

It did! I thought you were just showing me that you chopped down one of my persimmon trees in your dream. I didn't understand the swirly bit. I was gonna ask you about that. Now that I know what you meant, I think I'll shake off and bury those persimmons, then cut down the tree and see if the trunk really looks like that. I'm interested to know if it'll be the same when it's not in the dream.

My tree finally got big enough for me to sit on the bricks and view my town history!

Cubby started following Animal Crossing: New Leaf

Anybody playing? I've got Katie here and she wants me to take her somewhere...
-
Thanks! It works now. I could've sworn my gate was closed, but maybe I needed to save or something first.

So, I finally got my museum expansion, and now I can't figure out how to change the signs in front of each exhibit room. When I stand in front of the sign and click A, it just says something like, "No Name Display by Cubby". I know you're supposed to be able to name the exhibit and even change the design on the sign. Is there some trick to this? Every place I read just says "interact with the sign" and that isn't working for me.

Do you need any fruit?
-
Sure. I don't run except on the beach or the pavement anyway, but I'll be extra careful.
-
Hey, Twiglet. I just started playing again. Do you want to open your gate first?

Shammack: I'm pretty sure I picked up a duplicate SS Dolphin the other day if you still want one. Let me know and I'll find it and save it for you. I also catalogued some astro items at juv3nal's town last night. I'm going to order them when I get some space to put them. You can catalogue them from me when I get them if you still want/need them.
