That spaceship does indeed look excellent, but what's with the default UE furniture lurking outside?

Let's address the elephant in the room: if I see a mountain, can I climb it? -
I used Prototype before switching to UE4. Fantastic tool, especially combined with Progrids.
-
Same here. I just like figuring things out and making them work, even if it's not something that's actually useful for the project I'm working on.
-
What about SSAA? It brings my 660 Ti to its knees, without it I get 60+ fps on high settings.
-
Strange. I'm playing with whatever the default mouse sensitivity is and it feels fine. I'm about two thirds through 2033 Redux. It looks and feels so much better than the original, but there's not a lot of new content.
-
Neat solution, will try. How's the performance impact?

My DK2 arrived yesterday. I never tried the DK1 so I can't compare, but nausea hasn't been a huge problem for me. I just played Half-Life 2 for about an hour and feel fine. I haven't been this terrified of head crabs since 1998. And I desperately need and new graphics card, my 660 Ti can't manage 75 fps in half the demos I try.

That's what I suspected based on the terrible SoC late game. Has anyone else tried the Misery mod for CoP? It's really good except for a few questionable decisions(everything costs a billion rubles, some monsters can take copious amounts of damage).
-
I have spent 53 hours playing CoP but never got anywhere close to completing it, haven't even made it to the actual city yet.
-
If you're still unhappy with the damage values you can go to game folder/gamedata/configs/creatures and tweak the numbers in the text files.
-
Very nice. Are you deforming the water plane to make actual waves, or is it just a texture? I'm trying to figure out how to do the former.
-
Seems like shipping to your part of the world was severely delayed? I ordered April 7 and should get mine next week("processing"), but I've seen a lot of Australians on the Oculus forums who ordered during the first few days and still haven't received theirs.
-
Super Bunnyhop is pretty good at that sort of thing.
-
I've put about five hours into the game and while it's obviously very well made, it has yet to captivate me. This might be because I played all the Bioware and Black Isle games back in the day, but I just don't see what makes it so special.

Just the widget. I guess I was so used to using the relatively stable behavior tree system while it was an experimental feature that I was lulled into a false sense of security.
-
Beware! I just managed to kill the graphics options screen I had been working on for an hour by making the fatal mistake of trying to add a FOV slider, apparently sliders crash the editor and make UMG files unopenable. Serves me right for not doing backups while using an experimental feature in a preview build of the editor. .

True, I was more talking about it as a trend among developers with limited resources. Eidolon and Unturned come to mind.
-
It's frustrating, I can make a billboard blueprint in 30 seconds but you can't use blueprints with the foliage brush. I might have to make my own brush using a construction script as you suggested. Thanks! It's just a few free samples from the SpeedTree site with some very basic flat shaded materials.

There's no need to roll back, it works with the latest version. I enjoy the difficulty and new classes, but I question the need for some of the new items, like the carbine, which is an assault rifle that does slightly less damage and is slightly more accurate.
-
Are solid colors the new pixel art? I experimented with foliage this morning, with mixed results. Need to figure out a way to have the grass face the player.
-
I never played the EU version so I can't compare, but I really like it.
-
Currently playing EW Long War, just got my dream team massacred by six(!) mutons that came out of nowhere. Should probably restart.
-
I really like the contrast between the modern lighting and the late 90's texture resolution and low-poly models. I imagine that Deus Ex would look like that if someone remade it in UE4 without replacing the assets.
-
On the other hand it doesn't make sense to write documentation that will be outdated in a month. Is UMG vastly superior to the old system? I haven't tried it at all. I'm just trying to figure out the basics. At the moment I only have vision, hearing and basic movement.
