I know right? It made me nearly late for my final but I had to stop and grab a photo of it, hah.

Some of those images on your Flickr are unreal, great job, some really gorgeous use of natural lighting!

Again, beautiful stuff! Love the colors captured on the lizard! You absolutely nailed the focus! Was the Hyena in the wild? How do you like the 60D? I have huge hands and totally prefer the feeling of it (and the ruggedness) of it when comparing it to my D5300. Show up your macro work when you can, i have been doing some piss poor "macro" work. The nice thing about 24 MP is you can crop like a son-ova-bitch. I found this dude eating some flies on the side of my house this morning, clearly time to burn this place to the ground.

That sounds awesome dude, I definitely want to go if i can get some buddies interested, Indy is not a super crazy drive from Chicago. Has anyone had much luck getting their non-geeky significant others into board games? My wife always has a good time when I rope her into games (she has even rolled a DnD 4e character with us once), but I think the idea of board games really intimidates her. Once she is playing, she digs it but crossing the barrier between "oh god, all of these rules" and " this is awesome" is kind of hard for her. I thought about maybe playing some 1 v 1 games with her to get her more comfortable with the process but most of my collection is better for 3+ .

Great shots duder! You live a pretty damn interesting life, are you an archaeology student/archaeologist? I am going to add you on Flickr is that is cool. The thing I like about the viewfinder is i find I think about the composition a lot more since I am kind of'peering into' the scene instead of looking down at an LCD screen if that makes sense? This is one from my new camera, my neighbor has a beautiful garden full of butterflies and cool insects.

It was a mix of paprika, garlic, onion and brown sugar it made a pretty good 'bark'! I made hollandaise sauce tonight to go with our eggs and bacon for dinner and it turned out OK, I put a touch too much cayenne pepper in so it was a little too hot. Does anyone have a good hollandaise recipe?

This is my favorite thread on the forums. Found this cool dude in Texas.

Pork and apple is like, a classic combo dude, sounds delicious. BBQ is so weird because there is a really passionate obsessed community out there, it is a little crazy.

Honestly the Grand Canyon was even more beautiful then I ever expected, i went in with high expectations and i was still completely blown away. It is something everyone should see! We were there getting a tour of the particle accelerators at Fermi with my Astronomy group, I believe they are opening up the full tours to the public soon, I highly recommend it, it's a totally awesome way to spend an afternoon! I've been to Wilson hall a few times for lectures but I am stunned every time I visit, such a beautifully designed space! Thanks for all the comments guys, probably will be slow on new photos for a while, just picked up a new camera and still figuring out how to use it. Going from mirrorless to DSLR feels a little odd, i feel like I am finally getting used to the form factor and having to use the view finder to compose photos.

While doing some studying up on our local super cluster, i found out about The Great Attractor which is super interesting! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Great_Attractor

Yeah you do miss out on the smoke, I might try my bbq next, I just need to figure out how many BTUs my grill is would hate to run out of propane in the middle of the process.

I've always wanted to go,but it looks to be pretty expensive, don't you end up paying to play?

One more for now, I built a home made lightbox to take a detailed photo of my Grandpa's service revolver as a Chicago Police officer for 30+ years.

Wilson Hall at Fermi Lab, such a beautiful place!

On our Route 66 trip we stopped off at the Grand Canyon, totally lived up to it's name!
-
Pretty self explanatory! (sorry for the squiggles)

Did not realize we had a photo thread! i am about to clog up this thread with terrible photos from my flickr profile! I took this in West Yellowstone during my Route 66+ trip while visiting a bear and wolf sanctuary.

The Church boss is no joke, whoa.
-
I actually solved it a different way!

I am actually heading to the church next, looks pretty tough!

Cool! Might give it a go with a friend if we can make the schedules work out. How far into the game are you? I was talking with another thumbs listener how crazy content rich this game was. I was absolutely not expecting the cat's collar side quest to be multiple hours long with it's own set locations, totally crazy! I hope this game does well for this team, they deserve it!

Have you dipped your toe into co-op yet? Nice video review by the way!

I feel kind of stupid saying this, but I generally role play my player characters as myself. What I would do or say in these situations, so I kind of just end up playing my two PCs like the same person, so I might be missing the role playing aspect of it!
