You have convinced me to pick this up and I am stoked! As a self taught guy with 15 years experience playing I found the first version a little too hard and laggy. FYI I will be talking the 360 version

I am still way early in the game - just got to the Depths around SL25 or so - but man once the combat starts to click the mechanics are freaking awesome

GTA V - Trevor was totally irredeemable IMO and I just hated the game after that one awful scene. If it was supposed to be satire, I couldn't tell. Despite solid mechanics I just found GTA V mean-spirited in a way I did not perceive previous GTA titles and that really turned me off. -
Just started this, two hours in and it seems better than the original Risen. Playing on 360 so the graphics are horrible though.
