Stardock is making a game that looks like a spiritual successor to Supreme commander. https://www.youtube.com/watch?t=195&v=M2YPs0AkzvU http://www.rockpapershotgun.com/2015/08/21/ashes-of-the-singularity-alpha/

I got the idea from this RPS article: http://www.rockpapershotgun.com/2015/07/28/best-game-level/ This is kind of a tricky question because your favorite level might not be from your favorite game. The first one that sprang to mind was the last level of Unreal II: The Awakening. Instead of a true final boss battle you are just trying to get off a ship that is about to crash into a star. The first time I played it I got into an escape pod with three seconds to spare, I remember being super tense. It is not my favorite level of all time, I will have to ponder this further.

Re: Growing up playing DOS games. Part of the reason I have the job I have today is my childhood playing Jill of the Jungle and One Must Fall. I was temping for a company doing data entry and they let me essentially try out for a full time job at the company. Most of the computing for the job is done in unix which I had familiarity with thanks to DOS. I don't think I would have been able to catch on as quickly without that. Thanks video games!

It is relaxing sometimes, like when I'm cruising around in my big sub. When you are diving though, its pretty freaky, especial in some of the deeper biomes at night. There is always the threat of a predator coming to eat you. There is a nice computer voice reminding you of how much time before you run out of oxygen.

Quitter's Club: Don't be ashamed to quit the game.
Cordeos replied to Tanukitsune's topic in Video Gaming
I was excited to get some use from my old flight stick and throttle, things did not go as planned. Ace Combat Assault Horizon: After spending about half an hour trying to get the flight stick controls set up I downloaded a external tool to get the assignment working, still won't detect my throttle thought. Then I discovered that enemy squadron leaders get unlimited flares making missiles useless against them. I guess you are supposed to use the stupid air duel system but one enemy kept escaping right away making him un-killable. Tom Clancy's: HAWX 2: This game is legitimately broken it just gets stuck in a new game -> loading screen -> main menu loop. The only other arcade style fight sim I have seen on steam is HAWX 1, but after the issues with 2 I don't know if I want to risk it. Might have to get some space games to fly in. -
A true lords management game: Mount and Blade II: Bannerlord

Cities Skylines is what you're looking for there. Maybe they will add features of keeping camps and towns clean to Bannerlord, who knows. -
Idle Thumbs 223: Troll Clone Today

Here is the Youtube video of Nick's GTA experience: Nick exploding was probably related to Rockstars Anti-Cheat tools where you explode if you cheat. http://www.gamespot.com/articles/gta-5-online-cheating-punished-with-exploding-cars/1100-6426410/ I have no idea what the green haired guy was about but I assume its the standard game hacker messing with systems. -
I hope so, I work a block away from the Twins stadium and the faster they get knocked out the less traffic BS I have to deal with. "I am from out of town, how do I road?"

True Detective Weekly 8: Omega Station Pre-Discussion
Cordeos replied to Jake's topic in True Detective Weekly Episodes
It was the last episode of season 2, they are still two episodes behind on the season 2 podcast. Not sure if they will do 7 and 8 in one go or what. -
You forgot the Che t-shirt.

Boeing has made an Autonomous Sub "Echo Seeker is 32 feet long, battery-powered, and can last three days underwater. Underwater, it moves at over 3 mph, which means it can travel over 260 miles on a charge. It can fit 170 cubic feet of payload inside of its blocky body. To get to the sea, it fits into a single shipping crate."

Cable management is so much harder in zero-G. Earlier they were having issues cutting a tag off. Had to use something that looked like bolt cutters.

There is a space walk right now. http://www.ustream.tv/channel/live-iss-stream Somehow basic stuff like running ethernet cables are just so much cooler in space.

http://www.rockpapershotgun.com/2015/08/10/hitman-gamescom-preview/ "Density is more important than sheer size. We have more death traps per square meter than ever before....The Contracts provide a loose framework for the kind of Looney Tunes comedic invention that made Blood Money such a joy to play." Now I am really excited. It sounds like they want to make the levels as open to innovation as possible. The biggest issue I have with replaying Blood Money is the somewhat limited options in each level, but with an increase in the interactivity of the environment, the gear you can bring in and the ability to use AI behavior to your advantage, there will be so many ways to kill. EEEEEEEEEE That is all.

Yes. My girlfriend has many similarly sized earrings which are surprisingly light.

https://www.fbi.gov/stats-services/publications/serial-murder "Serial Murder: The unlawful killing of two or more victims by the same offender(s), in separate events." There are tons of misconceptions about what a serial killer is. For example a mob hitman is a serial killer. So are medical professionals who purposely kill their patients. I wonder how they were defining it here. I took a sociology class on killing, here a book we used if your interested in the topic: http://www.amazon.com/Serial-Murder-Ronald-M-Holmes/dp/1412974429

Yes they mention aliens several times in the article. -
I want a mod where my city is in night mode the whole time an economy entirely based on partying!

In the US looking at medical records is never legal without that persons consent. The Americans with Disabilities act makes firing for things like depression illegal. Some states don't protect people based on sexual orientation: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2014/10/30/fired-for-being-gay_n_6076492.html

I was at an EB games once, they had Battlefield 1942 with all expansions for $20, they also had Battlefield 1942 with all expansions and Battlefield Vietnam for $15. I asked an employee about it and his response was "I don't know, I just work here." I think the issue with digital pricing is that its trivial to check what other sellers are charging, which can be harder for stores. They also have limited space and try to clear inventory with sales.
