So Into the Star was a Kickstarter game which I backed, they put in on greenlight before they got fully funded. The game was greenlight in three days. After getting funded the game got picked up by Iceberg Interactive. I was young enough when Star Wars Episode 1 came out that I enjoyed it, but by the time the second movie came out I knew the first one had been bad. By the third movie I was more excited about the release of Star Wars Battlefront 2 than I was about Episode 3.

I get the feeling he will be more involved soon, seems like he is spying on the case for someone. -

In WoW some boss battles had trash mobs as an important part of them, usually they are easy monsters to kill but they start swarming and will eventually overwhelm the group if not properly managed. I really wish more games had something similar to WoWs threat system, where the higher level you were the closer you would have to get to a monster for it to attack you. Games like Skyrim could really benefit from this so the monsters don't vanish, but super weak creatures won't charge lvl 99 players.

I recently discovered that Amazon no longer lets me download media that I buy to watch offline. I am since it gives them total control over media I theoretically own. I don't like buying movies and TV shows on disc since its not convenient in this post CD drive age. Is there a online movie/tv store that allows download for offline play? Itunes? Google Play?

"CHOVANEC: Well, look, China is undergoing a profound economic adjustment right now, away from one kind of growth model which relied on exports and investment towards another kind of growth model that is more balanced between domestic consumption and investment. And in the long run, that's going to be good. It's very disruptive. That being said, this is a transition that needs to happen. It's a transition that ultimately will be good for China, and it's a transition that's actually good for the rest of the world economy because it's really going to boost consumption from China. That's - when the rest of the world looks at the Chinese economy, they shouldn't be so concerned about what the output levels or GDP levels are in China. They should care about whether China continues to consume. And China has produced more than it's consumed for years. It has all these reserves - $4 trillion worth of foreign exchange reserves. It can afford to consume more than it produces, so that's one thing that I think is actually going to be - this economic adjustment in China is actually ultimately going to turn China into a driver of consumer demand globally." http://www.npr.org/2015/07/08/421225041/chinas-economic-downturn-needs-to-happen-to-boost-consumption Not sure I agree with that, to survive economically China does need more domestic consumption, but to survive as a planet we need to move away from consumerism and quickly. There are also a lot of questions of how much of an economic transition China can really pull off. The government needs growth to maintain legitimacy and transitions of the scale China would need would require a pretty impressive swing and will probably require recession of some kind. I have a hard time believing China's government will be able to survive the next 20 years.

Are you familiar with the natures pocket theory? Bear eats adventurer and keeps the gold in the only built in storage container it has. My WoW guild leader told me about it.

True Detective Weekly 3: Maybe Tomorrow

I feel you on not being interested in the mystery. I just don't really care about the case. Casper was a corrupt city official in bed with corrupt businessmen and mobsters. Also he was into weird sex stuff. It all feels so banal when compared to the strangeness of the mystery of season 1. -
It definitely seems like both sides are not anywhere close to where they want to be. Hard to negotiate when the sides are so far apart. Although today everyone is trying to sound hopeful. sometimes I forget just how controlled China's economy is. The government can just order people to stop trading, or let companies halt trading of their shares. No more IPOs for now. It has been unclear for a long time what the real economic numbers in China are. There are firms who spend all their time trying to figure out how the Chinese economy is actually doing once you get past the government misrepresentation and meddling. "Investors holding stakes of more than 5% are not allowed to sell shares in the next six months... On Wednesday, another 500 listed firms said they would stop trading their shares in an effort to insulate themselves from the meltdown. Around 1,300 firms have halted trading, almost half of China's main shares." http://www.bbc.com/news/business-33438416

There are several rumors that Germany wants a tougher deal than the one Greeks just voted no on. Also Greece may have shown up to negotiations today without a plan. Possible reason: "Greek premier Alexis Tsipras never expected to win Sunday's referendum on EMU bail-out terms, let alone to preside over a blazing national revolt against foreign control. He called the snap vote with the expectation - and intention - of losing it. The plan was to put up a good fight, accept honourable defeat, and hand over the keys of the Maximos Mansion, leaving it to others to implement the June 25 "ultimatum" and suffer the opprobrium." http://www.telegraph.co.uk/finance/economics/11724924/Europe-is-blowing-itself-apart-over-Greece-and-nobody-can-stop-it.html

There is a fear that if Greece is allowed to restructure then Spain, Italy and the other weaker economies in the EU will also ask for it. There are times where I think a global debt forgiveness would solve so much. (I stole the idea from Debt: The First 5000 Years)
-
Its a mess. Greece shouldn't have been let into the EU, they might have fudged some numbers to be let in, but was let in because the EU was more interested in getting bigger than in actually growing sustainably. Its never been able to collect taxes due to a mix of ineptitude, corruption and lack of effort. Greece has a long history of political parties promising the moon and delivering nothing. A combination of tons of loans given by overeager banks and Greek governments too willing to take them put them in an impossible position after the 2008 crisis. Now Germany wants Greece to cut its way to growth (something that really doesn't work.) Greece wants a bailout or at least some debt forgiveness. Feel free to correct any errors I have made, I am not an expert and have oversimplified a lot

Are You sure about #2? It looked like him, but it was dark. I can't find a screen cap of that scene. If he did take the picture, it makes me wonder if he is involved in the murders somehow. He also could be a cop moonlighting as paparazzi or maybe involved in some other investigation, internal affairs maybe? I recognized him from Deadwood. Its werid seeing him again since Deadwood is the only show I have ever seen him in. Also his IMDB bio is silly: http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0114868/bio?ref_=nm_ov_bio_sm -

1) Who is the Police Officer that just hangs out in the hangar? Which police force is he from? 2) Who do we think took the picture of Paul at the track? 3) Frank is so boned, he is withholding information that would be useful to the investigation (like another dead guy) and antagonizing a bunch of low life criminals. 4) I will be interested to see what happens with the car situation. Did the former driver steal it for someone else or is he more deeply involved, still feels like a break in the case. I am getting the feeling that there isn't going to be weird cultish stuff this season The bird mask is just part of Caspers weird sex stuff and the guy who burned the car seemed more like a small time criminal. My main question now is one person or an organization responsible. If it is just one person out for revenge I will be disappointed. -

"The team has received over 3,000 orders both in Japan and overseas, but so far all the customers have backed out before paying. "It's funny to see the panicked emails come in from people abroad, saying they thought it was a joke," says Kurata." http://www.theverge.com/2012/12/3/3722592/kuratas-robot-iron-giant-four-ton-mech As much as I love giant mech games I get the feeling they will never be a practical reality. I just can't see a use case for them. These mechs for example are totally outdone by world war 2 era tanks. Humanoid robots make sense when you have to deal with human spaces and tools. The DARPA challenge was based around using robots in Fukushima or other reactors. In many situations putting X tool on tank treads works quite well.

I hope you arent talking about this video of the Kuratas driving, because its CGI: P.S. Why did they need a sexily dressed pilot, Japan is so gross some times.
-
From the videos I have seen the American Robot seems a lot more functional. I haven't found any video of the Japanese robot driving. This article has some stats on the bots http://makezine.com/2015/07/06/usa-vs-japan-giant-robot-battle/

My point was that a lot of his criticism requires that you agree with his opinion about why the world of FO3 is the way it is. I personally find it far more believable that there were oversights or time/technical reasons for the lack of rain and farms rather than a deliberate decision. Even if I agreed with his complaints, he only really talks about the main storyline which is a tiny part of FO3. The rest of those dozens of hundreds of hours are spent doing entirely different things.
