  1. Divinity: Original Sin

I've been having a lot of fun with this game, though I agree that there are some definite UI and inventory issues. I like the ambition though, especially the fact they've built modding support into the game.
  2. I haven't had any issues playing it on PC with a 360 controller. The only input difference I could see was the jump remapped to L3 but I soon got used to that and now prefer it. What's happening with your inputs?
  3. You can get the Royal Soldier's Ring fairly early on (that's the Havel's Ring equivalent) and making your way to the area where you can find the ring will likely yield you a decent big weapon as well.
  4. Endurance has been split into two stats, one for stamina and one for encumbrance (Vitality). I've just been levelling my Vigor and Endurance to 20 and then concentrating on my major stats. If you're a Knight you'll probably want Strength and Vitality (up to a point, depending on your armour).
  5. Will do, Roderick! Looking forward to playing them both.
  6. Sweet, cheers man. I've been meaning to check this out and at this price it's a steal for 2 games.
  7. Very interesting. I'll have a think and a look around at the different gear. Thanks for the suggestion!
  8. Hey guys, I'm trying out a new Dark Souls series where I choose a specific archetype or inspiration and try to build a viable and interesting character. In this episode I try to recreate Thor, god of thunder, as a hammer-wielding cleric. My Dark Souls skills are still growing but I've always enjoyed trying to bring my own low-level role-playing to action RPGs like this and Skyrim.
  9. The Ethics of Battlefield: Hardline

I think that's definitely an element to it. Over There vs. most people's day to day life. It's easier to detach yourself when you don't relate to the setting or situation. Explains why it's sometimes easier to look past bad things happening in other countries.
  10. The Ethics of Battlefield: Hardline

I debated including footage of the North Hollywood Shootout in my video, as that reminded me of Hardline. I thought better of it though, after realising it might be crass. That seems to be the tone Hardline is going for, amazingly.
  11. The Ethics of Battlefield: Hardline

There's a quest in World of Warcraft where you need to pit one faction against another by planting evidence and killing a load of enemies on both sides.
  12. The Ethics of Battlefield: Hardline

This reminds me of the Airport scene in Modern Warfare 2, a scene that seems to exist only to inflame. I can imagine a sandbox game like ARMA 3 integrating mechanics like this (it's technically possible with the current engine), with different covert tactics influencing the gameplay.
  13. The Ethics of Battlefield: Hardline

That would be very handy, actually. I'll have a look to see if the editing software I use supports that. Good tip, cheers!
  14. The Ethics of Battlefield: Hardline

You make some good points here. I don't think AAA publishers are interested in showing complex, thoughtful relationships between sides in opposing conflicts. War is rarely symmetrical but this is the standard model for shooters. Balance over realism. I've heard Spec Ops: The Line mentioned as a more thought-provoking recent shooter but I haven't played too much of it yet. Thanks for the tip. I reduced the volume of the gameplay footage but clearly not enough, ha ha. Forgot how loud Battlefield games can be.
  15. Witchmarsh

https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1027299776/witchmarsh Has anyone else backed this game? Looks amazing, genre-crossing mash set in 1920s Massachusetts. Still a ways away but looks like one to keep an eye on.
  16. Witchmarsh

I read their description of detective being similar to describing Hellboy as a detective.
  17. Witchmarsh

This was my first Kickstarter game to back. I debated backing SuperHot but I thought this one needed my help more.
  18. Witchmarsh

Yeah, I can see your point, but I like the ambition and designs. Looks like it'll be good fun.
  19. Sweet, that's really cool and unexpected. I'll definitely check it out later. Good way to keep people playing.
  20. I know, I feel the same way after watching back my early footage. Those knights are a piece of cake for me now.
  21. Licensed music usage

The Vietnam expansion for Battlefield: Bad Company 2 had some awesome licensed music that would play when you were riding in vehicles. This was a multiplayer only expansion as well.
  22. What should Dark Souls players expect when starting Dark Souls II? I've been playing a lot of DSII lately and I've put my thoughts into a new video.
  23. Plug your shit

MAtmos, though it looks like it might not be compatible with recent versions of Minecraft.
  24. The Zen of the Harvest: Playing Minecraft for Stress Reduction -

  25. Plug your shit

Hey guys, here's my latest video. This one looks at how I play Minecraft for stress reduction. Plus special bonus of me building a Viking longhouse. Beardo
