Jigglypuff is back up on Target's website, if anyone wants one. http://www.target.com/p/nintendo-amiibo-jigglypuff/-/A-17315174?unused=881007#prodSlot=medium_1_2&term=Jigglypuff

The Inbetweeners has a scene in it that I point to as the pinnacle of juvenile body humor.

this is the second of 3 fur piles that came out of Jellybean after getting the furmiator last night. A very good recommendation Bjorn. He's got an absurdly dense coat that it's hard to get it all out with a normal brush. I think there's probably a couple piles more worth, he gets bored of being brushed though pretty quickly and goes to nap in another room.

Sounds perfect to me! -
I think she said 2088, not 2028?

You had me at Ethiopian. (you had me before that, but I love Ethiopian food and I haven't had it in a long time. Also an English pub sounds perfect) That time works perfect for me next Saturday. -
In a baffling turn of events, Deron Williams is trying to get out of his Nets contract to join Dallas????

Air travel can be so stressful, that, if you're able to, paying extra $ to ease that is so nice, and I'm sorry that you can't afford yourself that : ( (I referenced the hot dog as sandwich argument in the I had a random video game thought thread. If you are interested in this weird argument here's what spawned that: http://www.foodrepublic.com/2014/07/29/is-the-hot-dog-a-sandwich-experts-debate/ )

I always get back into WoW every 4 months or so, to come back for all the companion pets I can collect. I'm back in now, and haven't touched basically any of the dungeon content of this expansion, or the raid content of the last 3. It's fun to be able to jump back in but the min maxing of stats and looking up of ideal rotations/prioritizations is boring to me & I hate researching fights, so I just go solo BC raids or 2 man them with people who I was in a guild with in like 2010. It's interesting though in the context of this conversation, that when you do go back and go through authored content that was created for 25 man raids of characters 30 levels lower than you, they turn into trivial encounters, but I still make a distinction between the "trash" leading up to one of those fights and the boss that dies almost immediately, even though what those bosses provide me is often less valuable than the trash leading up to it in terms of the gold value of their vendor-able goods. I guess this is slightly different than the Dark Souls observation, in that these are things that at one time posed a threat, but no longer do. This is not because you now have the technical skill to neutralize the threat, but instead, because of the hit % mechanics in WoW & the scaling of health pools that you could auto-attack and kill your opponent before you die. (This reminds me of the argument of whether a hot dog is a sandwich or not.)

The Davis/Sacramento Area Friendship Conspiracy

If we meet in Davis, I really like the Beer Shoppe (if everyone is 21 and okay meeting for a beer or something.) Its small and fairly quiet. It doesn't attract a ton of fratty undergrads, etc. If we want to meet in Davis, and moderate amounts of responsibly consumed alcohol isn't appealing, we could meet at one of the taquerias or the dumpling house or something. There are also some coffee shops in town. (Since it's summer it's a little easier to find parking downtown, but can still be a hassle, which is something I am trying to be conscious of.) If we meet in Sac, namman seems to have some ideas in mind already. If this is fun, (which I'm sure it will be!) we can always do this again and meet in the other place. -
You're all so nice!

Like I believe that Chris Paul will promise that he'll play nice, but I don't think that will stick. They just straight up refused to leave his house to let him meet with anyone from Dallas & has just said nothing to Mark Cuban since Tuesday night.
-
The one thing I can't get over is that it's widely agreed that part of why DeAndre was considering leaving was because of his relationship with Chris Paul. Does he really think that's going to change? (Also DAJ didn't let his agent in his house last night. There was someone from the agency, but not his agent there.)

I don't know how many other NBA fans there are on here. I'm a big Mavs fan and this DeAndre Jordan story just blows my mind over and over again. There are so many parts that are baffling to me.

I filled it out! I'll bring Ewokskick with me, so I just added his name to my line. -
My guess would be that there are few reasons. 1. historically they exist 2. they serve to teach you how to use combat between authored boss battles This may lead you to ask why aren't there only boss battles and cut the trash? I would guess that it's cheap to fill up game space & time with trash, and expensive to create authored special boss encounters. You slow the player down by setting arbitrary gear/stats barriers that can only be breached by getting enough gold/gear/exp from trash.

This is a combinatorics problem! (aka my 2nd favorite sub-discipline in Mathematics). All I can think about are generating functions & expansions and it's tickling all the parts of my brain that the best kind of Math does. I will think about this some more and figure out if I can describe this pattern in a thoughtful way.

Thank you very much. My belly was very full afterward, but I felt like a true American. I bought the Anderson Valley Gose, and gee do I love sour beers. (I also got the Not Your Father's Root Beer on your recommendation Markson, and that stuff does not taste like alcohol! I liked it.)

Yes please! I need to belong to a conspiracy, and a friend based one would be ideal. -
For real though the girlfriend on her birthday blindfold surprise killed me.

It's very pretty.

Last I heard (via twitter) he was willing to be a stand in for another team, but did not have the time to commit to being a regular member this year.
