Yeah, they're still doing fake advice.

I adore the McElroys, and really like Sydnee but am totally unmoved by Sawbones. I liked the Freaky Friday episode last week with Rileigh, but enjoyed their old TV podcasts (The Satellite Dish & Losing the Sheen) way more. The Adventure Zone is the best of the McElroy shows though.

I'm so excited to see at least a couple people get Hatoful Boyfriend because I loved that so much. Please contribute to my Hatoful Boyfriend thread and tell me who your true bird love is once you play it!

This forever and always amen. The collapse of Detroit was pretty much completely due to racism against Black people who moved north during the great migration. If anyone wants to talk about Detroit specifically, I am super interested and passionate after reading this book: http://www.amazon.com/The-Origins-Urban-Crisis-Inequality/dp/0691162557 for an urban geography class I took

Of course. it is the friendliest conspiracy of all.

Living in the Southwest is like living on the surface of the sun. It's horrible. (I lived in Oklahoma for 8 months and you might as well just never go outside ever again.)

I drank a flight of ciders at the Beer Shoppe and now I can't stop talking about low stakes dramas like Gilmore Girls. Also, I know there are people on this forum from Davis & Sacramento, and I keep plotting as to how I can make them become my friends.

I don't know if anything has made me laugh harder than Luke Smith on Legendary Thread talking about his Blood Elf heralds.- 1367 replies

I don't like country music very much (mostly due to lack of exposure and I'm sure classist influence) but that song is amazing. If you need me I'll be in the intoxicated thread. I had a flight of ciders.

In St. Paul MN where I went to school there were kids from the neighboring college who would prominently display confederate flags on their porches and in their homes. You could see them through the windows when you would walk by. As a lifelong Northerner who is dating a Southerner, I do a lot of defending of the south 'cause got damn that fried okra.

Official Giant Bomb Thread Mostly for Complaining About Dan

I listened to it religiously as an early teen girl & don't have any problem revisiting it now. I don't think that I would find Sean Elliott as hilarious now as I did then, but I know I continue to adore Robert Ashley, Sean Molloy, Jeff Green & Ryan Scott. I think the Brodeo would be totally out of place now, but wouldn't have even registered for me as "bro-y" I also wasn't as sensitive to many things then as I am now. I don't think they're worth revisiting unless for nostalgia purposes, with the exception of the reunions that have happened at conferences. I know that Jeff thinks much more thoughtfully about this stuff now than he did then. (Also, I continue to have a giant crush on Luke Smith, for goin' on like 8 years, so if you're listening Scarab Lord, get at me.)- 1367 replies

My boyfriend looked so crushed last night after the finals game. Cleveland sports are probably cursed.

Idle Thumbs 214: Ship It, Droopy

I bought a biweekly calendar from wondermark.com (this year's theme was the orchestra) and this was the picture accompanying this and next week. There is also reference to jizz-wailing. (Here's what some of the normal pages look like: http://i2.wp.com/wondermark.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/12/cal15-pages.jpg ) -

I'm enjoying the big circle over the crotch of this character.

I bought the 2 puzzle agent games for my baby sister to join her steam library of the copy of Gone Home I sent her and then made her talk about with me. She loves Professor Layton and has been strictly a mobile platform (DS) game player since ~2011 or so, so I think she'll really like Puzzle Agent. I picked up a couple things for myself as well, specifically Valiant Hearts, Redshirt and Hamlet. (If To Be or Not To Be goes on super sale, I'll scoop that up. I have the actual printed copy, and would love to support the video game version of it.)

There has been a LOT of nervous beer drinking done in the apartment I share with my Cleveland Cavaliers fan boyfriend. We will likely need to invest in another 12-18 pack of bud light by the time this series is over.
