  1. Metal Gear Shaky

    I actually like the pun.
  2. Sexuality, Sophistication, and Style

Dear god, man, what language is that?! Speak! English! Like! Normal! People! Do! So! That! We! May! Understand! Wachatalkinbout!**) Every American who for some odd reason assumes I don't speak English at all has adressed me this way: stressing every word and yelling.
  3. Sexuality, Sophistication, and Style

I never much liked Tim Burton.
  4. Sexuality, Sophistication, and Style

You're talking about good movies. I am talking about utter tripe movies... Utter tripe movies see me walking out of the theater wondering why I spent five bucks on that thing. Only good movies give me some sort of catharsis.
  5. So THAT is where the vermin comes from.

Netscape has never been eloquent with caching images...
  6. Sexuality, Sophistication, and Style

I think that is a big problem in games and movies and with the normal people in general. Gratuitous coolness always wins when set against true style and cohesion of vision. Van Helsing in its opening weekend already grossed more than Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind did since it has been out (52 vs 31 million). That said, there still is a huge market for the people who watched the later movie... and yet it is so much easier to make gee-wiz crap than actually invest effort into filling the game with style.
  7. New Half-Life 2 screenshots

you implying that Psychonauts will never see the light of day... Fie! FIE!
  8. New Half-Life 2 screenshots

Now that is just bad taste...
  9. So THAT is where the vermin comes from.

    Hahhahahaha....
  10. The Lost Vikings

I haven't played the new Worms, so I cannot say if it rocked or flopped, but... er... I sortof liked Lemmings 3D. It was godawful navigating the place, but otherwise I felt it was a good game, if a little hard... As far as Harry Potter Simon the Sorcererrerer goes, the game was totally rushed and destroyed, and how much 3d is to blame for the perceived badness of Broken Sword is questionable... Gabriel Knight Blood of the Sacred, Blood of the Damned was a good adventure in 3d. It was ugly, but the 3d in no way hindered the gameplay, it helped it in its own silly way. So it is really up to the good will and dedication of the Blizzards.
  11. The Lost Vikings

Aw, fuck you Alex! Why did you have to remind me of that game?! Years of therapy ruined!
  12. GTA: San Andreas (Screenshots)

I sortof had the same thought when I first saw the screenshots the other day...
  13. The Lost Vikings

Pretty much, only without the 'really crap' part. If Prince of Persia rocked as it does in 3d so should perhaps The Lost Vikings.
  14. So THAT is where the vermin comes from.

    Well... fuck you.
  15. The Lost Vikings

The sequel, having not been made by the Blizzard people (as far as I remember) was lacklustre. The graphics were 3d pre-rendered, but the resolution was downright deplorable, I thought, for the year it came out in... It was ultimately too fuzzy and had less detail than its predecessor... and whereas I remember all the Lost Vikings levels more or less sortof in order, I hardly remember anything from Norse by Norse-West... well, there was a dragon of some sort and a warewolf that joined the band of three from time to time... and uh... there was an ice level... in the StarWars universe...
  16. Grand Moff Tarkin MUST Be Destroyed

Oh, my! I wish I knew what the flying fuck you were talking about so that I may participate in this yet another great discussion on these here our forums... since I don't:
  17. fear : of other games..

Well, let me paraphrase: gratuitously scary movies/games don't impress me.
  18. fear : of other games..

The first time I played teh (sic) original DOOM sixty-five years ago when I was very wee, I didn't have a soundblaster. I thought the game was cool, if a little boring (I would get into Duke Nukem 3D a lot more shortly thereafter)... and then one day, I turned it on on my uncle's computer that had a soundblaster and was scared shitless during the demo that played in the background behind the main menu.... I very distinctly remember the screams and shotgun blasts and noise... I don't think I've played the game on a soundblasterful machine ever afterwards... 'Scary' games and movies bore me, though.
  19. So THAT is where the vermin comes from.

    This is bat country.
  20. GTA: San Andreas (Screenshots)

    HAHAHHA....
  21. GTA: San Andreas (Screenshots)

You know what would be really funny? If Take-Two and Rockstars just said, fuck this, and made the game X-Box exclusive with a shitty hand-me-down Playstation port...
  22. So THAT is where the vermin comes from.

The buttons are from the default board, I was trying to find some new ones earlier today to no avail. And I am doing further stuff to the board as we speak... And I have forgotten to mention to the powers that be that you found out about this place... didn't have the time to worry about that, sorry. And thanks for liking my... thing.... article... yeah...
  23. GTA: San Andreas (Screenshots)

Hey now! As the proud author of that GTA feature and as an intellectual snob, I take offence.
  24. Scary!

Let's hunt the motherfucker down. Nobody who makes something like this should be allowed to live.
