I use Dreamhost for hosting. Since I realized what a disgusting piece of shit Bob Parsons is, I've moved all my sites to hover.com. Dreamhost doesn't seem to have any bandwidth limits and is pretty cheap, but if you start to notice stuff is getting sluggish, you can always move the heavy files to some cloud. That is my advice to you. Don't buy into complicated infrastructure unless you need it.

No such thing. I find that to be a good way not to waste time. Figure out if they will dig you right up front. If not, move on.

Here's a thought: I wonder if these funky games can help people visualize time/space/etc in ways in which we really weren't capable of intuitively getting a hold of, and thus help a new generations of mathematicians and the like solve some mathematical/physical problems or notice new stuff heretofore unknown.

I think I am going to vote for either Perry or Bachmann (whichever one of them floats to the top of the cesspool). This country needs to get a lot worse before people wake the fuck up. I feel kinda torn about this decision since voting for Perry or Bachmann is tantamount to an act of terrorism—and yet voting for Obama the second time is an act of resignation in the face of a system that doesn't represent a vast, vast majority of its alleged constituents.

The country, all things considered, looks a little better than it did when I was here last in December of 2006. Economically it is about as fucked as the rest of the world, par for the course. This is family drama that I am talking about. And it is about a quarter turn short of Empire Strikes Back.

There is a suite of Photoshop fractal tools that do wonders with enlargement. I have access to these at work. They do wonders on line art (I can try them out on the face textures and such), but they can totally be used on the background art as well to get it up to the aspirational model res, though those may need a little bit of cleanup. Can you give me some raw model textures and backgrounds to give it a whirl?

I don't think the order really even matters. That lake will level off regardless of how you dig it.

It has to be one block deep. A sloping block of water will level off if it is surrounded by 2 full blocks of water.
