Edward McMullen's and Tyler Glaiel's new game is coming out in Steam in four weeks, I haven't really followed what he has been doing lately so this took me by complete surprise. Graphics style heavily leans on SMB, but I really like the teaser trailer. The blob like main character reminds so much about Gish. The game I love the most of all of Ed's creations, though in that game he mostly did the graphics only I think? The game is also coming out on Nintendo Switch at least, but a bit later than the initial PC release. http://edmundm.com/post/161553453240/the-end-is-nigh Features: 600+ levels! 12+ explorable chapters! 20+ collectible and fully playable mini game cartridges! (each with their own tiny achievements!) 80+ achievements that will make you feel good about yourself 100s of collectible little squishy tumors! loads of hidden extras and endings that you will probably see someone else find before you do! and stress!

So, news have started to come out a few weeks ago that Julian Gollop, the man behind the original X-Com/Ufo: Enemy Unknown, Laser Squad, Chaos Reborn, Rebelstar and Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Shadow Wars games, is making a new X-Com style strategy game now that Chaos Reborn has finished it's development. Website is up: http://www.phoenixpoint.info/ It will be a turn based tactical combat strategy game, with world based strategy.

So yeah seems I totally forgot to update this thread. Julian Gollop opened a Fig campaign over a month ago for Phoenix Point. It's gathered about 750 000 dollars and is going to get funded in about 7 hours which damn great! Here's the campaign page: https://www.fig.co/campaigns/phoenix-point I love the procedurally created enemy types.

Something True was just excellent. Thank you guys. Bring on the second season.

Our town wanted to put a huge Christmas goat in the style of Gävle goat for some reason last Christmas also. It didn't come as a surprise to me that two idiots went during one Saturday night and burned it. They were recorded on surveillance tape, though I don't know if they were caught because I didn't follow the news enough after that. Regarding the episode, once again excellently written and performed.

Duncan's writing is so good and Alex's voice just fits the whole picture perfectly. I have so much fun listening through the whole season during yesterday and today. Thank you!

This whole story with the additions from @newgameplus should be made into a movie, I'd watch that! This episode was a wonderful tale.

Finally got around to listening Something True. This is really great and wonderfully written and narrated!

Etrian Odyssey IV is anyway 9.99€ already in the eShop, I doubt it will get lower in any sale than that 7,19€ with the My Nintendo discount.

No, this is from Tokyo. There's a company that's illegally using Nintendo's characters and the Mario Kart concept. They are renting costumes and karts to people and driving kart races in central Tokyo. Nintendo has sued them already, but I guess business is still running as witnessed by Jackman's video. Monster Hunter is coming to Switch! Another 3-4 million sales confirmed and that's just Japan. Even more for global sales. http://www.nintendolife.com/news/2017/05/capcom_is_bringing_monster_hunter_xx_to_the_switch -

Not that excited about Darksiders 3, at least yet. I did however just order physical Darksiders 1 Warmastered edition for Wii U.

Twin Peaks 2017 Anticipation & Speculation
Kolzig replied to Guts's topic in Twin Peaks Rewatch Episodes
I really love the fact that in this stupid age of internet and the need to leak information of unreleased shows and movies, everybody in the project have been 100% silent and just not said anything to reveal stuff from the show. It will be so cool now that the first episode of the third season will air tomorrow. -

Shame that ABC Prime Time clip in Youtube is geoblocked. This video contains content from CBS CID, who has blocked it in your country on copyright grounds. Got to get myself a VPN then. -

Pretty cool they have added so much content to Arms, it really is going the same way like Splatoon did a few years ago. Also, Arms will get free dlc after launch, fighters, arms and other stuff. That's just excellent. The weird thing about the global testpunch is that in North America it's six days, in Japan and Europe it's only four? The small bit about Splatoon 2 at the end, it looks like this time they are really expanding on the single player content and the Splatoon lore. That's also really cool, I don't know if I can resist the urge in autumn when I'm going to Japan with my wife and daughter. I might buy the Switch, too many opportunities during the six weeks. -
I thought it was incredibly Twin Peaksy that Bobby's mom has a smilie face badge attached to her jacket in the scene where she enters the religious room where Bobby and his dad are sitting and talking. Especially since they are supposed to be going to a funeral.

It's a weirdly heavy game. Takes ages to load at start and also before every match. Also the game is a bit sluggish when deathmatch is going on. Seems the Saber tech is quite horribly optimized. One of my friends told me the game crashes often for him even though he has a beast of a computer. I'm not a fan of the f2p elements like getting xp and leveling up even getting your ass kicked in DM, but I don't play modern mp games much at all that so I guess that's just how it is these days.

Twin Peaks Rewatch 2: Traces to Nowhere
Kolzig replied to Jake's topic in Twin Peaks Rewatch Episodes
This was such a cool small detail. On my third viewing of TP ep 2 yesterday I noticed that for the first time myself and also that James mentions the Bookhouse Boys in the same scene and moment. -

Watched the pilot two days ago, actually both the US and international versions. I'm also including the log lady intros for my viewing per episode. This is the third time I'm watching Twin Peaks. First was in 2000-2001 when the show was aired for the second time in Finland. I watched the show instead of reading well to my high school end exams. I was just 8-9 years old when the show originally aired so I didn't even know it existed then. Around 3-4 years ago I tried to introduce Twin Peaks to my wife but she didn't really like it. We watched to about halfway to season 2. She didn't really know about the show because in Japan it was a cult thing for small group of people as it was shown only a small cable channel and my wife was just around 10 at that time. Now my plan is to watch the whole show plus FWWM and the Missing Pieces. I've never seen the Missing Pieces so that's something new for me. I will also listen to each TP Rewatch podcast episode after I've watched and episode of the show. Then I'm ready for season 3. The pilot was filled with so much fun small details. I thought the hoot hoot in the prison was hilarious especially when Lynch zoomed to Bobby's teeth. Also Bobby's mom with the scissors while on the phone with Laura's mom. I said it already in Slack, but thanks @Jake and @Chris, this is a cool companion podcast!

Still haven't received a key from Bethesda, but that's fine as the game's beta will be free for all to sign up next weekend. http://www.eurogamer.net/amp/2017-05-09-quake-champions-to-let-anyone-play-this-weekend-and-next-week
