Doom3 however is not going to push the gameplay boundries much further though I don't think. Yes Unreal engine 3 looks fantastic.. to me all the demos look prerendered but they are apparently in real time.

It depends what your cup of tea is. HL2 is obviously based on a real location in Europe, so I guess people can relate to the surroundings alot easier. I do like the look of Doom3.. which seems to be inspired by HR Giger art (Alien movies). I just don't think ID have any flare for writing a good story/gameplay. You only have to look at their previous titles to see that they obviously dont have it in this department. I personally will play both regardless of better graphics or better gameplay... but HL2 will no doubt be alot more fun.

Duke Forever running on the unreal 1 engine lol that would be funny if it was released now, it would look so dated. It will more than likely never come out, just like Prey never saw the light of day either.

I reckon Doom 3 is going to be all "look at how good the graphics are" with relatively little substance in the gameplay department. Ok it may have some shocking things here and there but predominantly it will probably be the same formula as previous titles: shoot monster, find key, open door, fight boss, get to exit etc. I doubt ID will pull out the same amazing gameplay that valve will with HL2.

My interests include music (metal, electronic, ambient, experimental, weird etc), guitar, art, web dev, movies, games, anime and getting wrecked on saturday nights ;P Games wise im currently into stealth games like splinter cell and the hitman series. RPGs such as Zelda, final fantasy etc.. and adventure titles like Monkey island, indy foa, broken sword (the usual suspects).

Nice pic, the red hair is not so bad i currently have a few blond highlights but I wanna get my hair dyed black Yes mobscene and dope show both excellent. Check out Use your fist and not your mouth and (s)AINT off golden age... both pretty cool. I like the cover he did of tainted love also I have yet to see bowling for columbine, but I remember someone mentioning he was in it.. Manson is a very clever man which many people dont realise.

The second movie is effectively the shakey cam one, cept its not shakey and the quality is alot better The first one is completely different.

I saw him at the Manchester MEN last year, his band absolutely rocked the house... loved it. Ive only gotten into his stuff since Golden age of Grotesque came out.. excellent album.

GTA: Vice City is by far my favorite of the series, lots of atmosphere, cool tunes and cool missions (though some tedious I admit). I can't wait to see the backlash from people on this new GTA, more doses of "OH NOS MY SON PICKED UP A GUN AND SHOT PEOPLE?!!! ITS ALL THIS GAMES FAULT" Im looking foward to san andreas, as long as the radio is not all rap/soul tunes ill be happy

Its a shame theres no real CS2, new maps etc built by the same team as the original.... CS:CZ is supposed to be crap apparently.

Graphics do not a good game make... Ok so the graphics may not be as amazing as they once were when we saw the first screens, but judging from the E3 trailers the gameplay and physics seem pretty stunning.. at the moment that is more important to me than the graphics.
