On HATE and how I will be projecting it towards everything in the upcoming weeks
Erwin_Br replied to MrHoatzin's topic in Idle Banter
Sounds familiar, but different. I only lack the motivation to get it right. I'm feeling a bit aphasic lately. --Erwin -
If you still have it, and no-one's interested, I'll gladly take it! --Erwin

I think you all had dodgy copies. --Erwin

I just realised that I've never played the full version of Duke 3D. I've never seen an intro, either. --Erwin

Qualifies in looking innocent, -or- all mysterious and sexy? --Erwin

Look at the horizon and the buildings. The perspective is off! This wouldn't have happened if they used 3D. Can't they see 3D is the future? --Erwin

Weather report makes the jump from 2D to 3D, aggrivates old ladies, Myst-lovers

Teehee! And I thought your reply was sarcastic too! --Erwin -
That's fine, as long as this smiley's in it: --Erwin

To prevent offspring. The world can't handle more than one AGA walking around! --Erwin

And what about the secret handshake? We need a secret handshake! --Erwin

Well, the way our brain works *basicly* isn't much different from the AI technologic possibilities we currently have. --Erwin

Can I kill it? Violent games have never made me angry, but this... this... --Erwin

I never saw this whole cancellation thing as 'LucasArts letting us down'. They're a company, just like any other company, except they've made some damn good games and used to have a fine damn crew. That's a fact that won't change. It's sad to see how the current management is screwing with this company and it's people, though. Sam and Max 2 being cancelled was THE most disappointing moment of my 'gaming-life' simply because it was a game I was looking forward to. This is actually the first game I was looking forward too and that got canned. --Erwin

The wrinkles on his neck, below his mouth, are a bit unrealistic, though. Why should there be wrinkles anyways? --Erwin

You can burn the manual... --Erwin

Okay, in that case; let's discuss the condom. Do you think your lover would be scared if you wear it? (I mean that particular condom, not condoms in general) --Erwin

TinTin is actually a French name. In the Netherlands, and in the Dutch speaking parts of Belgium, this character's name is Kuifje, which means forelock. So... TinTin ain't a bad name, compared to forelock. Fig. 1.1: An example of a Dutch Kuifje or (forelock) comic. --Erwin

Adventure thoughts by someone whose 'heart is not in it'
Erwin_Br replied to Intrepid Homoludens's topic in Video Gaming
I've seen the PDA thing before in another game... I think it was Unreal (the first one), but I'm not sure... --Erwin -
Aw, why do you apologize? I've never seen Kingz spit bile before, and I'm quite interested in how that would go. Or, wait... There was this one thing were a few things with a certain Stinger, though... I'd better shut up now before I'll get a bad review of Bad Timing when it comes out. Damn, being a developer brings so much unwanted responsibilities. I'll never be able to call Marek a doodiehead when I want to. Oh dear... Sorry for ranting. --Erwin

Adventure thoughts by someone whose 'heart is not in it'

I hope so. I still have to get this game. One question though; does the story advance during gameplay (like Deus Ex, Half-Life, etc...)? --Erwin -
That tech demo (very good quality movie) with the shiney roofs and that one alien didn't look disappointing to me either. --Erwin

I find the environments in Half Life 2 much more appealling, even though the engine may not be as advanced as Doom 3's. I don't care much about Doom 3's level design, it's horror/gothic theme and general art direction. Personally, I find it a bit boring and everything looks more or less the same to me. From what I've seen, I expect Half Life 2 to be much more versatile both in level design and gameplay. --Erwin
