Is that the PS3 or a waffle iron? For nerdy technicalities, the Mac Mini is running on a PowerPC low power processor that doesn't heat as much. the G5 powerpc requires inmense amounts of cooling, which Apple engineered to make it work. So, I'm now guessing it's that big because they have to fit in the cooling, but how loud is it going to be...? I guess we'll find out on May 12th. Maybe.
-
It's still bigger than the new Playstation 2! I was expecting something as big as um.. the Mac mini. Yeah.
-
to your last spoiler, PJ- Looking at the old screenshots, you can really tell how the game looks so much better now!
-
It looks bigger than the old xbox! That doesn't make any sense. So, it's time to turn this thread into MSPaint your own XBOX 360° design:
-
What if you LucasArts called it: Star Wars: The Secret of Monkey Island Advance. Then they could have some cool acronym like SW:SOMIA! That would sell...
-
I hate DIC(KS) soooooooo much. I'm glad I watched all of their cartoons dubbed into another language...Spanish.

*CUE GOTH METAL* IGN is pretty pathetic. It took them 4 days to come up with the review, and it's not even IGN quality (which is equivalent 1/7 of Idle Thumbs quality ).

You know what I hate about Psychonauts? I can't stop playing the damn game! I played that sucker for like 7 (very slow) hours today. Geez, I don't want to finish it already... so I had to pull myself out of the xbox. Seriously, though, it think it sucks that you guys are not able to play the game, but you will soon enough and then you'll cry when it's over. And then start playing it again! Everyone who posted here deserves to get a copy of the game... except for Chris Remo because he already play tested it last year and nobody likes him! Bam!

Hey, people still have super nintendos! I'm waiting when I start making money again to start getting xbox games for cheap! stock up on the collection, ya know.

Hey, I guess it might be a bit early to start on this one, but with E3 about a month way we might as well start speculating. If you haven't been following what the next generation consoles are all about (Xbox 360 degrees Yo, Coolerplaystation X3, and Double-Secretendo Revolution), you can check this article at 1up: http://generation_next.1up.com/ It seems to be that Sony and Microsoft are slapping each other like the classic fanboi uberl337 war, while Nintendo is the cool kid (RAZ! ) standing in a corner who's going to just make them super jelaous with what he has to show. I'm looking forward to what Nintendo has been cooking instead of these two stupid rivals trying to make the best console. Nintendo has been losing a lot of developers in recent years with their nonsense, and although they pretty much released a lot of great things (analog stick, rumble pack, the original dpad controller, mario, gameboy, etc. etc.) it made its stupid decisions (never supporting a cd-rom type disc, virtual boy, no online support, etc.) But maybe it has learned its lesson since once it was the Evil Monopolistic empire that was kicked in the balls by Sony and then spit by Microsoft. Nintendo is now the underdog! But we all know that it's about software and not hardware. This is probably why people play games on the PC... because they can, not because it's great (See Chris (Remo Action News) vs. Idle Thumbs regulars). Nintendo doesn't have great party support, and games other than Nintendo-made games are not very appealing on the GameCube (that are not already available on the other platforms anyway), so what the hell would you do with this futuristic Revolutionary console without any great games to play with it?

I haven't played the third one, but it looks in the comercial like a) They pushed the graphics way too far as everything looks like it's moving at 12 FPS, they still have no motion caputure so the prince...errr...Sam Fisher looks very robotic (or maybe it's the 12 FPS). I remember once I saw this kid playing the first Splinter Cell, which I own, and what I really didn't like is the way he ran around and shot people like it was Grand Theft Auto III! Where is the love for sneaking around like a ninja and shit?

Which means that Psychonauts was shot in a studio... by a live audience! --- Also, it turns out that the UPS delivery was a day early:
-
Hmm... what's Ubisoft been up to + POP3... I guess this means one thing:
-
I was checking on my Psychonauts UPS delivery status over at the computer lab before having some group meeting for a project, and one of the guys from the group asks me what I'm waiting for. I say "Oh... it's this game called... Psychonauts", and then he says something like "Psychonauts?! I know about that. I played the demo on the PC. It's pretty cool." My reaction:
-
Where's that from? Also, I spoted the end of a Psychonauts comercial on MTV. It had the classic Psychonauts logo with the coach, Milla, Saha, and "But verybody calls me Raz" Razputin like at the end of the Majesco trailer, but instead it said Psychoportals.com instead of Psychonauts.

Mine is arriving on Friday, which is good because I got this killer homework due then... Yep, I'll be starting that homework sometime soon. Yep, soon. Yep. Oh, I guess It's time to click "Post Reply", then.

Wanna get into the games industry? Have a heart attack.

Gimme a job, Dobule Fine! I want to be a cute two-headed baby carrying shopping bags around. You think if I make this face: someone will give me a job? -

So, how does one get a heart attack? Seriously, I'd like to steer the direction of this thread. How can I get into the games industry without a) being sweat-shop slaved working for EA? Give your words of wisdom. -
Lots of platformers are like this. The Sly Cooper games come to mind. I don't think Harry was the first game to put this concept forward, although I honestly couldn't tell you which was the first to use this exact style of platforming. What? What? Um, Harry Potter is originally 1) Not a movie 2) not a game based on the movie. It's a book, remember? Besides, it sounds more like Mario, to me, you know? the game that defined the platform genre? Perhaps a bit of Zelda. I agree that Psychonauts is not like 100% original, it's a a conglomerate of a lot of things wrapped around an "epic children's story", but the way the game is executed is what's more important. Just try to compare the forced Harry Potter movie-based game with Psychonauts and understand what I'm talking about.

Cool! Patches! Just like we wanted... and I can't wait until the pictures of some of the products are up! Also, I love the 2-headed baby with the shopping bags... it's the most hilarious thing ever!
-
You should have told him, "Hey, you're not supposed to be playing that game for adults, you little prick!". You should have known that GTA III 3 is a) not on XBOX yet! not coming out tomorrrow c) you can't get into people's minds.

Never mind the demo... THE GAME COMES OUT TOMORROW!!! (Too bad I have to wait until it ships to my house, and I hope that it's not those brown-trucked bastards from UPS who always come at the least expected time.)
