Aside from the above forum member who is definitely a real person, is anyone else still excited about Marvel movies? I'm starting to get a little excited about the next batch. Thunderbirds kind of looks like a real movie with nice cinematography, but we'll see. I think Pugh is really fun as Yelena. Captain America: New World Order Brave New World trailer kind of slaps, editing-wise but the visuals are sort of all over the place. Will be interesting to see how chopped-up it'll feel considering the amount of time it's been in development and the re-writes and re-shoots. Apparently Giancarlo Esposito is a late addition? I'm mega-excited about a 50s retro-futurist Fantastic Four: First Steps. And totally forgot that it's coming out this year?! As for future stuff: I think the Doctor Doom announcement was simultaneously super desperate and kind of brilliant.

My ranking changes often, as I am quite a big fan of the McQuarrie run of 5-7 so they are all fighting for the top spots. I totally get that it's not as different in style or auter-y as 1 and 2, but I feel like he's still been succesful in giving them all their distinct tone. Fallout being the more serious one, very action-driven. Dead Reckoning is a much more slap-stick, almost Looney Tunes/Buster Keaton romp. Rogue Nation is very heavy on the espionage and is moodier than the rest. At the moment I rank them 6 > 7 > 5 > 4 > 1 > 3 > 2 But, aside from 2, these are all movies I love a lot so I could rank them in any order, honestly. I probably rank 7 higher than most, only because I really love when this franchise goes for the laughs. It's got so many good setpieces. The airport, the yellow Fiat. The entire train sequence is absolute killer. Loved every bit of it. It's definitely too long, but who can blame them when the setpieces are this good. I could watch this stuff forever. Am incredibly excited for The Final Reckoning this year. Have probably watched the trailer 20 times by now.

Iām on the last season of my Marvelās Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. rewatch and itās a very uneven, but extremely fun show when it works. Finds its footing in Season 2 and really gets fun later on. Makes me wish the MCU did more of these kinds of longer-running shows. It takes time to build up audienceās relation to the characters. I keep finding myself wanting another season of these new Marvel shows because at the end of the season Iām finally a bit invested in the world and characters, but then itās just.. over. Edit: Itās almost annoying how effortlessly charming Clark Gregg is.

Oh my goodness, this reminds me I never actually finished Return to Monkey Island! I need to Return to Return to Monkey Island soon. -
Thanks for still keeping the forums up @tabacco. Everything is still running so smoothly.

Yeah, I follow you on any social media I can find you, but so often miss your posts because all the content just fades away so quickly.. (I also follow way too many people which doesn't help) For what it's worth, I will keep checking here every once in a while for the foreseeable future if anyone decides to post their projects.

Hey! I finally made a Steam page for this silly, little game. Go check it out and wishlist it! https://store.steampowered.com/app/2433790/Tiny_Tires/ And then watch this trailer I made:

Been playing this a lot lately. It's in Early Access. It's apparently like the movement from Destiny (I haven't played that) and then mixed with run-based, excursions into the different maps with randomized enemies and stuff. Anyway, it's got incredible gun-feel, that starts off feeling just.. fine, but as soon as you get a level up on any of the weapons they *really* click. The visuals are superb, really polished. Gothic withy vibes. Only caveat, it's the developer of Vanishing of Ethan Carter, whose CEO apparently had a GamerGate moment back in the day. Can't say if he still clings onto those opinions, but if you feel icky about that then you now know.

A Dedicated Thread For Talking About Star Trek Episodes
BigJKO posted a topic in Movies & Television
I'm watching The Next Generation, for the first time. First off, I'm thinking of just skipping ahead to the third season, since I hear that's where it gets going. Maybe I'll give the second season a chance. The first season, after the first two episodes, kinda bums me out. It's maybe a little fun, but such a mess.. Maybe I like Q. Mostly I think he's pretty ridiculous. Also, Space Jellyfish. Ben. You're watching The Original Series, or at least skimming it at a leisurely pace. Why don't you tell us about it?! -
I havenāt posted here in a while! Last week we got a Rokoko mocap suit at work. So get ready for a lot of mocap videos from me. Hereās my first:

Ah, that's a bummer. I think 3D World is probably my favorite "3D" Mario game. It perfectly blends the tight level-design of the 2D Marios with the more free-form movement of 3D Mario and it just keeps introducing new and genuinely fun mechanics throughout. To each his own! I hope 3D World isn't the last time Nintendo makes this kind of Mario... -

Yes! Blank Check's Griffin Newman! It was very weird to finally watch him in something, because I'd gotten so used to listening to him on the podcast. But he's really good as Arthur/Mothman! Really looking forward to Season 2.

I've started watching The Tick and am really enjoying it. It's very different from any superhero show out there and although it sometimes goes a bit too broad, comedy-wise, most of the time it's a whole lot of fun especially Serafinowicz as the always-earnest Tick.

Iāve played a bunch of two-player team mode, which is my sonās favorite. Itās excellent, with the free-form movement and fun co-op mini games. My son seems to like it more than the linear board game. The rhythm mode is a bit janky. The gyro registers an extra move sometimes when you donāt want it. But itās a fun mode for anyone not interested in the board game aspect. I tried the boat mode with my son. It seems fun, I think Iād love to play it with other grown ups but my son thinks itās too stressful.. I havent played enough Mario Party in general to know if this is better than the other ones. But I think it looks fantastic, and I like it more than MP10. -
Yeah, this is what happened back when the site didnāt have any new articles and when the first podcast stopped. The community survived through that, just smaller and quieter. Itāll eventually become noisy if/when the Thumbs get back together. But donāt feel like you *have* to hang out here in the meantime. You can always come back later. Or just hang out in the slack, which is still pretty active.

I'm not an expert in this stuff, at all, but we never pick the Quadros at the office because they're way more expensive and don't have a better GPU render benchmark than the same generation's Ti cards. The new Quadro GP100 seems like a very powerful card, and it beats a single 1080 Ti on benchmarks, but for the price of one Quadro GP100 you could buy nine 1080Ti cards getting about 7x the speed of that single Quadro.. :/
