Holy shit! This is amazing! Can't wait to listen to this! EDIT: All of the links seem to just go to the episode page (instead of, say.. an RSS feed) EEEDIT: Found it, on the show's main page!

It is of course infinitely wishful thinking, but I constantly dream of what MI2:SE would've been like if they'd just straight up put Purcell's original background art in there.. *sigh* Instead of this, admittedly still much better effort compared to the first Special Edition.. They sort of blindly follow Purcell's crazy shapes without actually understanding them, somehow.. I don't know. It's hard to describe what bothers me about it. They definitely upped their game compared to the team who did the first one, but they're still making some of the same mistakes, I feel..

That looks great! The animations are nice. Look forward to seeing how a game like this plays on iOS.

So good.

Yeah, I'm about to go try out iTween soon, gotta get some more of that juice! EDIT: There's also GoKit's Tween Library, which is FREE! http://u3d.as/content/prime31/go-kit-tween-library/339 In other news, Youtube has now rolled out their 60fps upload, so here is a reupload of that alpha footage in SUPER SMOOTH 60 frames per second! Yay! Vroom! (You need to set it to 720p or 1080p to get 60fps and it doesn't, for some reason, work in Firefox)

Twin Peaks Rewatch 3: Zen, or the Skill to Catch a Killer
BigJKO replied to Jake's topic in Twin Peaks Rewatch Episodes
That scene with Bobby and Shelly, Chris mentioned thinking there was someone else in there? Did anyone check up on that? I definitely remember thinking there was something fishy with.. the camera angle at some point, I think? -
Man, that funeral scene was huge. Starts out sad, then turns so quickly into Bobby's condemnation of the entire town (this was Bobby at his best, most likeable.. which isn't saying much, but still..) then almost into a fight between Bobby and James and then just straight into crazy, slapstick with Leland hugging the coffin. For me, this was this episode's Tibetan Rock Throwing scene. Sort of encapsulates a lot of what I like about this show into one big scene. Also, YES. The Bookhouse Boys! I had almost forgot about that! That scene with Bobby and the Major, with Jesus in the room and just the general mise-en-scene, I thought the entire scene was happening inside a church where the funeral would be held. Then the mother said "Are we ready to go?" and I just flipped out. "WHAT?! That's their HOME?! Jesus.."

Perfect summary. Your mom rocks.

You can probably get some of those ease functions by using some of the Tween packages out ther for Unity. I'm pretty sure something like iTween has some of those..

Twin Peaks Rewatch 3: Zen, or the Skill to Catch a Killer
BigJKO replied to Jake's topic in Twin Peaks Rewatch Episodes
Oh, wow that is fantastic! -
Yeah, if the Guardians are in it I'll watch a two-parter! Also, neat on the Carol Danvers' Captain Marvel announcement. Wasn't expecting that!
-
Yes. I vote that this counts. EDIT: I also think the Jessica Rabbit thing comes down to whether or not you think the characters of the fictional world of Roger Rabbit actually come to life via drawing. I don't recall the fiction ever suggesting that they were drawn to life, if you will, so one could argue that "I'm just drawn that way" is just a joke she makes, not an actual backstory, therefore not actually a justification.

Did I misunderstand something or did they show off how the track changes on each playthrough, or something like that? Also, I don't know why but Nintendo DLC makes me ridiculously happy..

This might as well be the official LucasArts thread now, right? Several hints suggest that GOG.com's new publisher, announcing in 1 hour 30 minutes, is none other than LucasArts (or rather, Disney's LucasArts archive) First 6 games are, supposedly: The Secret of Monkey Island: Special Edition Sam & Max Hit The Road Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic Star Wars: Tie Fighter Special Edition Star Wars: X-Wing Special Edition Do with that info what you please. It's kinda weird that they'd release these on GOG and not on Steam, though. (who knows, maybe they will too)

Ah, it was Martin Jonasson and Petri Purho, with this GDC talk "Juice it or Lose It!" (or, at least, that was what introduced the word to me)
-
Welp, now I can't find that awesome talk (I'm pretty sure it was Jan Willem Nijman of Vlambeer) so maybe we made it up and are just weird?!
-
Thanks! Lecabra, local (same-screen) multiplayer indeed! That, and racing against the AI, are up first. When that and this one track is finished, I'm putting out a public build. Get some of that sweet, sweet feedback. SuperBiasedMan,

Holy shit, wow. Thanks you two! :D Put up a quick dev log at devlog.tinytires.com , go there for future ramblings about design problems, updates, etc.
-
Instead of actually working on the game proper, I did a title animation test on the logo (which is now the official logo, I guess)!

Just started watching Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. I'd previously watched a couple of random episodes from the first season, but hearing it's pretty shoddy I decided to just jump straight into season two. It's pretty good, so far. Feels tight, in a way the episodes I've watched in season one didn't. Can't really say whether or not they've actually improved, but it's fast-paced and the characters are fun.
