I think there might be some way to make it start loading all images at startup, instead of when the user clicks the speech bubbles. Then there should be less popping, unless you blaze through the thing immediately before it can load the images. Those are some solid ideas for the resistant URLs. The sharing thing would be more interesting if the story branched a lot more and had some randomness, making each story unique to a certain degree. I'm really interested in returning to something similar to this some day. It's a fun way to do comics! For now I'll leave it as is, and then make some fixes to it once the PDJam voting period is over.

Not that I could change it now for the actual entry, but a screengrab would be very nice! What should be happening when it loads images, is you first see the text just floating, then the speech bubbles and then the panel. Is that what happens? That's a result of not having enough time to put any sort of load indicator or something and hide anything that has loaded until the rest is loaded, if that makes sense.. There's a lot of rough spots, but any feedback is appreciated because I might put some time into this sometime in the future, with a new story and some more time to make it branch more (maybe also come up with ideas with regards to the fact that all of the stories exist persistently on the server, via the URL, and can theoretically be played together..) Haha, I love your game Dino. My hands are all over the keyboard when playing it, which is pretty fun. Despite desperation towards the end, I actually managed to finish my entry. A Mignola-style comic book Twine game (Cwine) based on the Grimms fairytale "The Seven Ravens." When I say based on I mean I murdered any spirit left in that story and made it awful, but hey.. Boom! Nailed it. (In theory.. I haven't actually tried this.) EDIT: Oh, sweet. I should've done some playtesting before putting this out. A lot of people miss the fact that you can click on the speech bubbles. So, yeah.. to advance click on the orange-tinted things that pop up every once in a while.

Why is there no thread for this game! It just barely got released (publisher went bankrupt just before release day) but it was out yesterday (I think?) It's a Lords Management game which, I gather, is basically a friendlier DOTA game? It seems like it's similar, at least. Break through defenses. Small droids (creeps) help you out. Defend your home base at all costs. Anyway, I've played it for a couple of hours online and I'm pretty hooked. Also, no voice chat means no one's being a dick.

This should probably be in the Kickstarter Compendium, but come on! After all this talk of J.S. Joust, Poleriders on the podcast I figured this deserved its own thread. There's only 10 hours left on the Kickstarter and they need $3.500 to make their goal. It's QWOP'd its way, stumbling, towards the goal in the past days but it needs a last push if it's going to make it. The class you play should gain some xp and level up with each fight, play or practice, and faster if you win. Each level up to level 10 gets you a new basic card, I think.

Except Lucas has consistently referred to them as non-canon all these years, right?

You always get a pack of cards. I just go for daily challenges until I have 150 gold, spend it on Arena instead of cashing out for one pack regularly, because it's more fun and you still always get one pack. And if you're good you get more!
