Yeah, played a bit of it this morning. It's beautiful and great! I really love all the Escher-esque visual tricks they pull off with such ease. Reminds me of Fez in some ways.

I am ridiculously excited about Mario Kart 8, for some reason, after watching the latest trailer with Rainbow Road in it. It just.. I don't know.. suddenly it all looks really good to me. Maybe I'm just hungry for some Mario Kart again..

About 3 microseconds is the time it takes light to travel one kilometer in a vacuum. -

A Dedicated Thread For Talking About Star Trek Episodes

Not that it wasn't a stupid plan regardless, but I have a vague recollection of it being something about having a recognisable face for the invasion of Earth. -

DS9 Season 6 spoilers (But Ben is finished with that, so this probably won't spoil anyone!) Season 6 of DS9 continues to be fantastic! It's basically what I've been wanting all along. For now, at least, I like how it's just one big arc. Less stand-alone episodes, more continuing stories! Although, now they've recaptured the station I'm afraid it'll go back to single-episode shenanigans.. But I'm glad I stuck with it so far! -
"Getting frustrated over BlogSpot, at the moment." -- @jonkristinsson Thank you for that awesome tweet, Past Self..

Ugh.. That is the worst. Be sour about the deal if you want to, complain about it on twitter, whatever.. But god damn death threats? Harassing phone calls? Christ.. I guess this shouldn't surprise me coming from a community that goes to the death threat/harassing well for a simple gun tweak patch for a video game..

Yes! Keep this thread alive! How old were your kids before they played any games at all? My son is closing in on 2 years now and I'm wondering when it's normal for kids to have the co-ordination to pick up a controller. Right now he's still into iPad stuff like Fruit Ninja. He loves that. And he likes fooling around with my Wii U gamepad screen while I play Super Mario 3D World. Not that I want him to play games all the time, or anything. Just curious!

Really excited about Public Domain Jam! Great idea! I hope I'll have time to make something for it.

Haha, that looks lovely, clyde! I love the sounds.

There is sadly no spectacular secret message in the audio's spectogram, at least..

I think there already is an IT clan for US. There definitely is one for EU servers. Expansion is bought and I'll be playing it tonight if any EU people are up for some co-op through Act V!

Season 6 of DS9 is off to a very good start! -
Alright, fine.. It's bought! Can't wait to finish the Act and get to Adventure Time Mode.

What does this even mean??

Forget about the Crusader, how's the Adventure Mode?! Feel free to tempt my wallet, please.

Idle Thumbs 151: A Fascinating Experience
BigJKO replied to Sean's topic in Idle Thumbs Episodes & Streams
Alright.. Just purely technically I don't think the shader they're using is doing anything but putting a greyscale filter on each frame of the game as it's rendered, so effectively it's the same as manipulating a picture. The difference between the Betrayal filter and the pond photo is the pond photo takes into account the Red, Green and Blue values when converting it to greyscale. It basically gives a higher contrast to, for example, the Red channel, making select colors darker and brighter when it's converted, instead of treating them all the same. I can't imagine it would require some complex procedural algorithm. Unity, for example, has a shader that allows you to desaturate but also control the curves of each channel, which I think would enable you to make it look more like the pond picture. -
Has anyone bought the expansion pack?

Just wanted to put this out there: aperson, your posts in here on programming advice and such are absolutely amazing and helpful. All of 'em! Thank you so much for contributing here, it's been insanely helpful to me even when you're just posting suggestions for other people's problems. So.. THANKS!
