  1. Psychonauts gets a publisher: Majesco

I think we'd all like to believe that there hasn't been any news because Doublefine and Majesco are working nonstop to create maximum levels of awesomeness. Otherwise, how could we not even have a news entry and very few DFACs? Something would have to have gone terribly wrong.
  2. I've never played LOOM. Why so much controversy?
  3. Tribes 3 Beta

Would it also be possible to use a Windows 98 key on Windows XP?
  4. To steer this post back to Psychonauts, here's an interview with Orson Scott Card about the game and other stuff, and he mentions Lucasarts (including some consulting work with them), and also how he loves Monkey Island, which we all know Tim personally designed, alone, with his bare hands and some punch cards. I've never read his books, but I know Card's nephew and wil pass on anything I hear about the game. It sounds like he's focused on both creating a strong story with characters and making a fun, playable game.
  5. Playboy undressed videogame women

But what of a spread featuring those whose clothing we take for granted? Perhaps we could find out if ALL of Waluigi's features are exaggerated versions of Luigi,or what Blanca has under those shorts...

Don't worry about clicking, there aren't any V-titties on the page. Well, there is V-cleavage, but no V-nipples in the image that accompanies the article. Anyway, it certainly says something interesting about what passes for wacking material these days. Is a perfect Video game character more appealing than a flesh and blood woman? Oh, and the company is none other than Majesco, future publisher of Psychonauts, so I can't wait to see those foldouts in 2005.
  7. Tim on TechTV

So, is the non-Tim Lucasarts show that everyone's talking about how this originated, or was there a show/segment with Tim on at some point? Thanks.
  8. Psychonauts gets a publisher: Majesco

I'm really a novice at PC controllers, but am not sure if an Xbox controller will be essential. While there's nothing wrong with wanting to have the Xbox controller and an adapter (which sounds especially handy if you already have an Xbox and want to save money on a PC controller), I doubt that having the system's controller is going to add much besides a rumble to the equation. Let me know if any of these observations are incorrect: 1. From what I can see from pictures of Xbox controllers and my Logitech Dual Action ($15-20, I think—just a cheap one I found) controller, Lt and other companies have USB controllers with very similar layouts, although there might be some specialty buttons I don't know about (it looks like there's something on the left next to the two directional pads, which are swapped around on the one I have so that the analogue is on top). 2. If you've never played the game you're playing on the Xbox, you won't have a natural inclination toward that controller's feel. Since the button layout is very similar, you should be able to confortably play with button assignments in the same relative as the designers intended. I feel like I could comfortably play Gamecube games with that other controller, and it's much closer to the Xbox. 3. If you like the rumble, I guess you gotta go with Xbox. Will rumble work on PC games? Do any PC controllers have vibrators? Of course, I don't know how much the adapters or the Xbox controllers run for, and it might be worth it. I'm going to wait to see what the game's button layout is like.
  9. Psychonauts gets a publisher: Majesco

After MS ditched Psychonauts, I'm not really up for supporting the Xbox, which I previously might have bought just to play this game. I'll get it on PC or get it on another platform if any more ports are annoucned. (I assume the latter isn't likely.) Jeremy
