Really? Well it's about time, but I bet they still screw up and don't send us the t-shirts or something. Oh well, at least I've learned to never pre-order anything from gamestop again.

It's too bad it's on G4, the worst channel ever.

If comics count, I've been reading Sin City and The Dark Knight Returns. I've also started reading the first book in the Discworld series, the color of magic.

Behold, for sanity has entered Adventure Gamers Forums!
Lechimp replied to Wormsie's topic in Idle Banter
Yeah, those posts are incredible. They're basically saying why I've thought that the adventure genre isn't growing at all. But I'd still like to see the guy from PC Gamer USA justify his review, because there's no way you could. -
This just in, Penny Arcade likes Psychonauts... "I've been playing lots of Psychonauts and I think it's fantastic. It feels good to play a game that makes you laugh for a change." Hopefully that means that hordes of mindless Penny Arcade drones will now buy the game.

http://www.gamestop.com/product.asp?product_id=b646097a What the hell? Gamestop now says that psychonauts for pc is supposed to come out tomorrow. So is majesco just retarded and doesn't know how to publish pc games?
-
Yeah, a lot of the games were actually good. So it's actually kinda worth buying, if anything for the fact that you can say that you have a virtual boy and then people will go "WTF? WHY?" The system itself sucks though, it's a gameboy that's not portable, other people can't watch you play, it runs out of power quickly if you use batteries, and the red color is painful.

http://www.gamerankings.com/htmlpages2/925726.asp It's getting decent ratings, but I expected better from NEW AND IMPROVED MAJESCO (actually the game looked like total crap to me but apparently it's not)

It's number ten! (also contains discussion of Bad Day LA, and the city of LA)
Lechimp replied to Bc9b's topic in Video Gaming
But what the hell is that really crappy wrestling game doing on the charts? Hopefully it will drop off quickly due to the bad ratings it's getting, and hopefully more people will pick up psychonauts. Psychonauts deserves better than position 10, but at least it didn't bomb like I kinda feared. -
Yeah, I got a virtual boy from my cousin. It's not a bad system if you didn't pay for it, but it's easy to tell why it flopped. And after 10 minutes of using it, I go blind.

Doesn't Jordan Mechner own the rights to Prince of Persia? It's too bad he keeps allowing them to make the generic rage PoP games.

Leon is incredible, I still need to buy the special edition that just came out.
-
I really doubt his name is Paco considering that he links to his comic called Captain August, and someone there named Roderick (and calls himself Rodi) updates the site. So I'm assuming his name is Roderick.

Kick it old school with Queen All Your Base
Lechimp replied to General Fuzzy McBitty's topic in Idle Banter
Yeah, that sucked. Repeating the lyrics and stretching out the words was a really desperate and cheap way of making the scene fit the song, and the all your base thing was only funny for 5 minutes anyway. -
No, but that's the first thought I had too (it would be pretty interesting though) I think the darkness is a comic book series. EDIT:Meh, duncan beat me I'm not sure about the jaws game though. It's made by a great developer, but I've seen some odd screenshots of it. Like a screenshot where jaws is up in the air (because it jumped or something). Can sharks even jump?

Yeah, Majesco seems like they really shaped up and started going after really good developers and publishing really good games. It's kinda like what ubisoft did a couple of years ago, when they stopped making crap games in hopes of making a small profit and started taking bigger risks on games that could make a lot more money on games like Prince of Persia and Splinter Cell (it's too bad they kinda suck again)

A guild is really just a group of people to hang out with and do missions and stuff. It makes it a lot easier to form groups for instances and stuff though, and people are around to help you out.
-
I have to agree, if I wasn't in the guild I would probably be tired of the game by now. But things like what happened today make the game a lot more interesting and give the game some lasting appeal. Today our guild (Cardboard Tube Samurai) was supposed to have a battle with the horde guild (Obsidian Spur), but the OS didn't show up because they suck (they do this a lot) so instead, we decided to raid a town (gadgetzan) and free the town from Horde control. Gadgetzan is actually a neutral town but ever since the honor system came out, horde have taken it over to get more honor points. Our guild attacked the town, wiped out all the horde, and hopefully gadgetzan is now in alliance control. But I kinda doubt it since the horde seems to have a lot more hardcore WoW fans and they seem a lot more organized.
-
You get honor points when you kill someone that's part of the other team, and the more honor points you get, the higher in rank you get, and you get some cool stuff. You can't be killed randomly by other players in a non PvP zone. The only places where the other side can just randomly kill you are in contested territories. Otherwise, if you're in their territory or they're in yours, the intruder has to be attacked first before he can attack back.
-
What server are you on? And you should have been on when the honor system was first added, it was insane. People were in such a rush to get honor points that there were horde everywhere and you couldn't go anywhere without being killed.

I thought the wind waker style was a nice change of pace, but I don't know if I would want that in every zelda game. Then again, even though the graphics in the new zelda game are really detailed, it seems like they just did it to get more sales. Plus the new Zelda game just sounds like Ocarina of Time 2.0, which I guess doesn't bother me that much since I liked Ocarina of Time, and if the ultra realistic art style convinces more people to buy gamecubes, that's fine with me.

It's good that they're advertising it now, so parents will actually understand it and won't buy violent games for their kids (or understand it but still buy violent games for their kids because they don't want to spend time watching over their kids)
-
It's too bad that I pre-ordered the game so I won't be able to just buy the signed copy of the game (I don't have the money to buy the same game twice). I'll just buy a signed poster or something if they ever have them.
-
OMG guys, I just heard a radio commercial for the game psychonauts. Actually it was for the psychoportal website thing. I don't think that the commercial seemed that effective though.

At least you haven't had any dreams where you just go to school and nothing funny at all happens. Although I did have one dream where I went to school and two people I knew broke into song in the middle of class, but that actually happened a few times in real life. (song by journey, "Don't Stop Believing")
