I'm really liking the expansion too! It's probably an even bigger change for me than most people since I haven't even played since before paragon levels were introduced and yeah, it's way better now that everything has been rebalanced. Was anyone thinking of getting a Thumbs clan or community going for this game? Do we even have enough people for that?

I'm actually ok with him making a game and the game I voted for won, but think of it this way, maybe it helped get the Amnesia Fortnite some extra funding and some Adventure Time fans have discovered Doublefine and will buy some of their games. At least it will be fun to see him participate in the daily streams for the next two weeks.

Those are indeed some pretty sick ramps. Nice work!

Oh thank god I chose C# then. I've been learning Unity by working on a game with my friends (basically a remake of the old pc game Skyroads) and I didn't know what to choose. I was more familiar with C# but it looked like their documentation and a lot of tutorials used Javascript. I guess I chose wisely.

3 votes isn't enough! I ended up going with Buried Metropolis, Eras of Adventure, and Dear Leader. I chose Little Pink Best Buds as my Pendleton Ward game.

Of course 20 minutes after hearing Nick talk about Astro Blaster, my friend posts on Facebook about how she maxed out the score on the ride before even leaving the first room. Maybe it IS a baby game

Is it too late to donate? I just found out about this thread after listening to the podcast.

What's the Steve Gaynor lean? And I don't know why you guys were so self concious about using podcast to talk about the 90s. I would be ok with a 90s PBS podcast.

When's the next time you guys are playing? It would be cool to play with a group of people that know the game. I have absolutely no clue what I'm doing but it seems fun so far.

If there's one game that needs Oculus Rift support, it's a game by Cyan. I can't wait to play this. I'm actually not a huge fan of Myst 3. I really like the other games that studio developed (The Journeyman Project series) but the world in Myst 3 just wasn't that interesting to me. It might actually be my least favorite Myst game, not that it's bad. I also think that if you're going to play Uru, you should actually download Myst Online instead. It's free, you can interact with other people, and it has the content that Cyan created for the game when it was on Gametap.

Just another post saying how great Gone Home is. I hope it doesn't take years for Fullbright to develop another game. Anyone know how well it's selling so far? It's not at the top of best selling list on Steam but I would imagine that it has a way lower budget that most of the stuff on there anyway and hopefully it's profitable for them.

I had a dream last night that I played the ghost hunter DLC for Gone Home and it was pretty awesome. Please make this happen Steve.

I think that most of the people that backed it aren't angry about it. Most of the rage seems like it's mostly because it's the internet, where someone always irrationally hates something. I mean, it's still a big screw up but the game is still happening unless no one buys the early access.

Wonderful, I have a pretty big break from work when it comes out for the PC as well. Has Telltale said when Fables and Walking Dead season 2 are coming out?

True, some did. I thought that there were still some later games that had pretty bad dead ends though. I agree with RPS's review. Not bad, not great http://www.rockpapershotgun.com/2013/06/27/wot-i-think-leisure-suit-larry-reloaded/

Yep, that's exactly how it plays. I think it's good for fans of Sierra games. It's really nice playing a Sierra game without all of the dead ends, and deaths just take you back to right before you died. The music and art are also nice and almost everything in the game feels like it has some kind of joke when you interact with it. That said, it's still a remake of an adventure game from the 80s so it also feels dated and I would have a hard time recommending it to someone new to the genre.

The ones I've contributed to are just starting to wrap up now. Shadowrun Returns comes out really soon and I just got a ton of D&D miniatures in the mail that are really cool.

I'd hope he would have something other than decoding puzzles or else the game would be kind of pointless. People loved the original game mostly because of the sense of discovery that it had. Doing the same thing as the first game would kind of ruin that.

It's still possible since a lot of projects, especially the ones that haven't met their goal yet, usually get a pretty big boost towards the end of a kickstarter. I hope it makes it. I think it looks like a cool project.

I'm guessing that they're just giving the book two months instead of one since it's pretty long and they were probably busy with work related things like E3. I actually found the book really hard to read at first because of how many characters it introduces. I'm really bad with remembering names so I struggled for a while until I became used to her writing style and was able to learn all of the names. That said, I loved the book and I look forward to reading the sequel after The Sun Also Rises.

I backed it even though I'm not a fan of Tenaple's shitty political views. I think it looks cool and if I had to stop liking something because of the artist's political views or things they've said, there would probably be a lot of stuff I couldn't like.
-
I don't get it either. But maybe people's expectations of kickstarters have changed since then? Anyway, I backed it. I'd back anything by Doublefine so I'm glad it's also something that sounds like a really cool game.
-
Is there any chance that they could maybe do an episode for people that are new to the game? It would be cool to hear their input on what new people should do to learn the game. Then again there's probably a billion guides for people new to the game so I would understand them not wanting to cover it.

The website for the game has a fake store that offers this on vinyl and cassette. I actually want the soundtrack to have a vinyl release
