I found myself doing that too. I didn’t have a problem with most of the voices. It was mainly Yuna’s, and that wasn’t so much the voice, as it was the bad acting. Graphically, the game is pretty sexy. That’s the only good thing I remember. So people who hated Raiden just didn’t understand why he was great? I think I must be a moron then.

How ironic. Hollywood professionals crafted the music and screenplay for ‘It Came from the Desert’. Apparently. Thanks for the recommendations Kolzig. I shall download and play them both when I get the chance. I think I may have played Defender of the Crown already. It sounds familiar. It would have been the C64 version if I did. What a shame I never got to experience the amazing capabilities of the Amiga. Never mind Kluf. I just have never found it that bad. Yes, try it Tanukitsune! I bet you’ll love it. Possibly.

I wasn’t actually expecting to get a response. I’ll have to check out all the other old Cinemaware games. I suck, so I’ve only played this one. Surely it’s worth putting up with 16 colours for such a great game? I downloaded it, and it plays like shit on my computer, but I still love it. Did you guys ever actually complete it? I always ran out of time.

I think I was about 8 or 9 the last time I played these games, and my friends at the time weren’t interested in games, so I never got to try co-op. Looks like I missed out on some fun, but never mind. I remember I played the sequel first too, so didn’t know any better about the format change. And yeah, it was probably more fun to play on my own. I sound like such a loner. Yay. They added a female character? I hate it when games have to put a girl in just for the sake of it. It’s fucking obligatory to have a token girl in games now… but that’s a rant for another time and place.

Sorry to drag this topic back up. I’ve got to say I much preferred the second game. I never got to complete the first. Maybe subconsciously I hated it because of that. I never played the first with the same obsession I played the second with though. I think it was the mini games in Panic on Funkotron. I never bothered with TJ&E 3. Something tells me I didn’t miss much.
