  1. Sam and Max

Well, I finished it, I'd say play time was an hour, maybe two with a break. Overall I think it was excellent, a bit short and the puzzles not varied enough but fantastic overall. I think it terms of delivery it was superb, took around 15 mins to buy/download/install , really quick. The game itself was great, good start. Now to look at it in comparison to other episodes. Sam and Max. 1 season. 6 episodes. Each episode around 6 dollars and each episode around 1 hour and a half. Family guy. 1 season. 22 episodes. Each episode approx 2 dollars and each episode roughly 21 mins. So if we were to equate them in terms of time its 1 sm episode for every 4 fg episodes. Making them almost equal in terms of time , but this depends on how long the player takes to finish the game. To cut things short : Sam and Max 35 dollars for 9 hours of play. Family guy 37 for 7.9. Seems pretty fair to me. (Info from Amazon and Tell Tale Games.) Great job Telltale , welcome back Sam and Max.
  2. Sam and Max

Well I thought the download/activation thing was top notch, had the game downloaded and installed in around 15 mins. Played a bit so far, its good but I feel they're trying too hard with the jokes sometimes, its hit and miss with the jokes. Only played 5 mins of the game so far tho.
  3. Titan Quest

Well , I recently completed Titan Quest and I know some of you people also played it , wanted to get your opinions on it. Personally I thought the graphics and overall style was great, but the game wasn't very innovative, as it pretty much was Diablo 2 in a different time zone with different graphics. I felt the story was great but wasn't told well enough, I just ran past and did every quest when it came up, I wasn't compelled to listen to what the people had to say. The quests were : Clear this area / Kill these people. The last level was fun though, I thought it did all the technical things really well (graphics, art, level design) but failed in the story/originality.
  4. Know your game designers

    You've scored 15 points. You're batting 600. Im impressive.
  5. Alan Wake

    Wow, looks cool.
  6. Psychonauts on Steam

Sorta sucks that its with bloodrayne but still great news, things are looking good for Double Fine. Go Schafer !
  7. A Post-Nuclear Role-Playing Game

Fallout 2 is nicer I think around 3 hours in, once you start going to New Reno and etc. Fallout 1 is more fun at the start, but the end game is better imo in Fo2. As for Planescape, the game messed up for me in the temple, around 10 mins before the game should end . But its an amazing game, really out there
  8. Doublefine Not Screwed

Good news. Doublefine isn't dead yet !
  9. Monkey Island 3 was pretty good when it came to giving a silent character a voice.
  10. Grim Fandango Movie Rumors

How would you pace that movie though ? Seems to me like you'd have things moving too fast from one year to another. Unless its a Grim Fandango inspired thing I can't really see it being adapted into a movie without adding more to the story.
  11. Grim Fandango Movie Rumors

BS, definately. As far as im concerned, if there are no sequel rumors there is no chance of a movie. I think tim burton might be able to do it justice in terms of the look of the movie and style, but I don't know if he can do Grim fandango without making it sad and someone depressing. But with Tim burton-ish art and some other director behind the camera I think it could be good. Probably wouldn't work though.
  12. Sensible Soccer 2006

Imo that demo sucked, wouldn't buy this game.
  13. PS3 to "KILL PC" also: it's not expensive enough.

I agree, Blu Ray is waaaay to soon, DVDs are only now becoming more common to put games on and still aren't dominant, I say at least 3 more years before we should even think of thinking of considering Blu Ray
  14. Most Dull Online game Ever

It can't be THIS hard ... can it ?
  15. New spore video

I don't think this was staged, he does seem to like games and I believed he named one of his daughters Zelda.
  16. Online Comics Day 2006

  17. Rayman Raving Rabbids

    The rabbits look like ewoks.
  18. Gamelife Episode 3: somehow it still lives

Time for Idle Thumb TV. I can just see it now "I give this game 0, cause it sucks" , then Remo jumps in "YAAARGH"
  19. Oblivion

I don't think Jade Empire was not inspired, it just seemed rushed, not in the sense that it lacks detail or is shorter in some areas than other areas but it seems like they just wanted to get it done. Its a great game and a great concept but its just too short , I think I finished it in 21 hours. Its more of The Simpsons go to China than Baldurs Gate 3: China.
  20. Gamelife Episode 3: somehow it still lives

The girl wasn't too bad but her hair and smile were infuriating. The spiderman guy was the best though.
  21. Gamelife Episode 3: somehow it still lives

I feel guilty laughing at that... is it me or do these guys talk in a really weird way?
  22. Oblivion

The buildings are beautiful, made realistically, and show the different cultures. But its all too familiar.
  23. Oblivion

If you ever needed to sum up fantasy in a game that game would be Oblivion. Its not revolutionary, it just sets the bar for future fantasy games. Its not a fun game but its a game that says "Ok, this is what a fantasy world should be like, now make a better one and add a story" The story is pretty much "Hey there are gates to Oblivion opening up. Someone should do something." The fighter's guild doesn't do anything and you don't really see anyone fighting there in Oblivion. So much for realism. They should have made the fighter's guild give bonuses for closing the gates or at least make it seem like they cared.
  24. Oblivion

    You made the right choice.
