No, there are tons. Look for high tech economy systems.

It's not ambiguous. Phasma would like to bring an elite clone army in, but the blond baddie general insists his brainwashed from birth regular folk army is just as good. I wonder if the clones are old guys and there are only a few left.

Isn't Drake an Indiana Jones clone?
-
That's definitely true. Birdsong's version would have been the logical one. I don't know if the movie is that much weaker for it, though. I liked the space monsters. It would've been more interesting if the eventual Death Star had been built by hardline rebels.

I don't know, but R2 is barely in the movie and probably didn't need an actor in him. R2 is great in the originals, though, I really don't see how they could have achieved the same personality without someone in there. Can you imagine C3PO done with 70's puppetry?

So what do you guys think Phasma's job was? From the start I thought she was the political officer, making sure the Stormtroopers are proper believers.

I suppose it would have to move if it eats stars for ammo. I got the sense that it was a single shot.

I pretty much loved it. I was surprised by how quickly the film just won me over. I have very few criticisms apart from it being too long which was very hard on my bladder. Apart from that, there's stuff that is odd, such as how it mirrors Ep IV and how dumb it is that there is yet another Deathstar considering the previous episode also had one. But it was great, on par with the original trilogy IMO and better than Ep VI. Some stuff I thought was really good, such as how the Stormtroopers were handled and how the baddies talked to each other on the command decks etc. I don't really care that Phasma was as underutilized as Boba Fett. It wouldn't have shown as much if they hadn't mentioned her (dumb) name. Not as dumb as Snookie, though. Anyway, loved it. Didn't think Abrams had it in him.

Does the background actually change as you move around the galaxy? How do you get the search and rescue missions? The surface missions I've found have been so badly described that they are pretty much impossible to actually do. The game has a bunch of different mission types now but I'm wary of accepting most because I don't trust the game. Trying to do a new mission type is usually just confusing.

Yeah but he became more powerful than Vader could ever imagine. I'm seeing this tomorrow. Still half expecting to be disappointed.

I suppose you could wait a year and buy the next one when it comes. But get used to a new full price expansion every year. Anyway, I've been playing the game enough to make my initial grumbling embarrassing. It does half of everything amazingly well and the rest in ways that infuriate me. I love controlling it with my Steam Controller. Using the gyros to look around incredible, especially when passing a planet. The interface is so well done. I bought the bloody overpriced expansion because I remember the feeling of cruising in the atmosphere of the terraformed Mars at 5000mph from FFE. But of course you can only land on rocky moons and dwarf planets. They didn't mention that in the marketing. Approaching the planets is extremely cool and very cleverly done. The technology boggles my mind. But of course I can't do the one thing I was looking forward to. I hate the grind that comes from it being an MMO. Hate it. I hate the stupid missions that leave you baffled with no idea what you're supposed to even do. I hate that usually it doesn't even offer me any missions worth doing. I hate that I can't see Sol and can't really figure out how to get the permit. I absolutely hate the fact that I can't pause the thing. I can see it was designed for people who are determined to stay single, because playing it is very disruptive to my home life. And the bloody mission timers run out even if I'm not playing. Guh. Oh, and god I wish you approached star systems from far away instead of parking me right next to the star. I'd love to see the orbits reveal themselves as I get closer. I wish I could direct my approach so it wouldn't always take forever to get to the outer planets. It's extremely dumb that it takes ten seconds to jump 7 light years towards Alpha Centauri, but then to get 0.22 ly to Proxima Centauri it would take hours.

Kung fu Yoda is bullcrap and you know it.

I don't know of any other country that separation of church and state in the same manner as the US. AFAIK in Europe it generally doesn't matter if you're a religious organisation. Of course, it's also possible that discrimination laws aren't even upheld or don't exist.

This is what I ended up getting since I found package deal that seemed cheap and it comes with Just Cause 3. Intel i5-6600K 3.5GHz Z170 (USB3.0, SATA III) -- so a cheap one I suppose since it doesn't have USB 3.1 GeForce GTX 960, 4GB GDDR5 -- don't know which exactly 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR4 2133 MHz -- I'll be getting more at some point, I'm sure 250GB SATA3 SSD -- don't know which, I'm hoping it's a Samsung I didn't see any kind of savings from not going Skylake. I figured I'll give it two years or so and then I'll get a liquid cooler for it and overclock it.

Is that a reference to my avatar? I'll take a look at VR in ten years' time.

Cheers! Processor heatsinks tend to collect dust if you're a lazy sod like me. That's reason number one. Being able to push the processor a bit if I need to in the future is number two.

There's a ton you can do in Steam Big Picture. Unfortunately that's the only way to adjust it, but it's seriously versatile. I can play Elite with it sitting on my sofa, landing and dog fighting like a pro (then air my petty complaints later on these forums) without ever needing a keyboard or a mouse. And that game has a lot of controls.

AFAIK in all basic income systems even if everyone gets their monthly dole, middle income and above people still pay it back through taxes. So there's a certain income at which people get the monthly check and then pay it back exactly through taxes, gaining nothing.

What. I'm going to buy a computer. I want it to last -- I have a feeling I won't be able to buy a new one without serious compromises in years and years. So I'm looking at the GTX 960, but I can't tell which processor goes well with it. Is the 6600K overkill? It is for my budget. Or is a cheaper processor with an even more expensive GPU the better choice? I think I'll get liquid cooling for the processor just for the hell of it. I also want a 256gb or so SSD but I can't tell which ones are good value. If I get the Skylake processor and Z170 mobo to go with it, I could get an M.2 SSD, but I don't know if that actually makes any kind of difference. The old 120gb SSD my current system runs on already feels ridiculously fast. I can spend maybe 1150€, but that's with Windows and in Finland, so stuff tends to be very expensive.

I have actually been playing despite what I said. It was a lot more fun with my brother and I got some tips from him. Knowing that blowing up pirates at nav beacons is the easiest way to make money helps, although it's also a bummer because it's so out of proportion to trading and nav beacons make no sense at all. But I like the feel of the controls a lot and it's got a lot of atmosphere so that helps a lot.

You could just turn the haptics lower or off.

Didn't you originally have an outside team doing the ports?

I'd forgotten about Headlander. I thought it was the strongest Amnesia Fortnight contender when it first appeared, it was great to hear it's actually getting made.

Does no-one feel kind of bummed that DF will be stuck in the past for at least the next five years if they are making this and then Brutal Legend 2?

My best contributions on this forum are when I shut up and let other people say what I want to say, but better.
