  1. Give me Big Mac, fries to go*

You must have big-ass floppy disks. The directory is close to 60mb.
  2. Important announcement

Don't point your nostrils at me!
  3. Give me Big Mac, fries to go*

Preordered this, haven't actually played at all.
  4. Phil Harrison busts out the doublespeak (again)

I'm quite certain later PS3 games will use a significant portion of a Blu-Ray disc's space. That's still a very minor part of PS3's performance -- so minor that Sony hasn't even advertized Blu-Ray as something that will help gaming. To add that cost just for games would be sheer insanity. To add it for the media war is just a gambit.
  5. Alan Wake

It's not a "lost in translation" thing. While the premise is reminiscent of several books and films, it doesn't seem to share anything at all with Imsomnia. How did you come to that conclusion?
  6. Know your game designers

I prefer Chinese. They're cute and they're cuddly, and they're ready to please.
  7. Phil Harrison busts out the doublespeak (again)

I fucking hate those Sony nazi fucks.
  8. Phil Harrison busts out the doublespeak (again)

Aww, I'm sorry for being so idiotic. Getting their proprietary media to be the one used worldwide is something Sony has tried to do several times. It seems obvious to me that Sony wouldn't put the expensive Blu-Ray drive on PS3 just because it might be useful for games in the future, but rather because Sony is trying to use PS3 to have their format as THE format for High Definition movies. It's risky, but there's a huge potential of income for Sony if they finally succeed.
  9. Alan Wake

    Good ol' Alan.
  10. Know your game designers

Hah, no fucking idea on most of those. Stopped playing.
  11. Phil Harrison busts out the doublespeak (again)

StarEye is confused. We're saying they didn't add BR for the games, but for the movies.
  12. Alan Wake

How did we lure Treppie here?
  13. Steven Colbert Anyone?

You should ban this guy. 1. Spamming. 2. Misspelling Stephen Colbert's name.
  14. Oblivion confirmed for PS3

The one thing Oblivion lacks is a unique world. Oblivion's world is quite familiar, while Vvardenfell was wonderfully alien and unhospitable. I found the history with the demigods and such very interesting.
  15. Yay, Peter Jackson has invented short bits of gameplay that connect together gigabytes worth of cutscenes.
  16. Alan Wake

I think Remedy has proven themselves in terms of gameplay already. There's no reason to be worried about that.
  17. It's a mod. I have some friends who play it. EDIT: Or maybe not? I always understood that it's a mod.
  18. Phil Harrison busts out the doublespeak (again)

Yeah, that's just a complete lie.
  19. Death in Sakkara

Wow, I wonder how many non-native English speakers can get that safe puzzle. Pretty obscure.
  20. Death in Sakkara

http://www.bbc.co.uk/history/ancient/romans/launch_gms_cdx.shtml That's an FMV adventure made by the same team (Preloaded). Only part 1 of 4 released, but it's fun.
  21. Movie/TV recommendations

And I was thinking the characters are the most important part of a show such as this, but I guess they are something completely separate from the show.
  22. MTV acquires Harmonix

I don't think there's any other instrument that would generate the kind of interest or be as applicable to popular music as the guitar.
  23. In 3 if you want gold from a race you can't really crash more than once (if even that).
  24. Movie/TV recommendations

I think that's just the first episode (the pilot). And House the show does not suck, you just need to see beyond the curing of patients into the real meat of the show, which is character development. You people don't watch Galactica to get to see robots blow up, do you?
  25. Canadian games??

    Where are the tulips?
