Ahah. Last time in Paris I used the unsilenced sniper and was gunned down in a couple of seconds.

Chris, I can't believe Blue didn't die of the plague. I don't think you were giving him medicine.

Helldivers needs several players before it's interesting.

But having them run around is the best!

Oh, man. So I had been playing the chillest possible game for a while since it's my first colony. I turned the difficulty up to basebuilder at some point, but although I started building a massive granite wall around my base, it was taking a while. Even at basebuilder, I didn't really get attacked and had a bunch of problems (built some sunlamps and spent in-game days wondering where my power is going), so I had no defenses at all. A heat wave began. I had 8 people, but not enough weapons to go around. I got attacked by two snipers, a shotgunner and a grenadier. I was pretty sure I was going down. I basically took all my people to a more secure location away from my base. I figured they would hunt us, but instead they started kicking down my horseshoe pins and destroying walls with grenades. Pretty soon they separated and I was able to take my four armed fighters out along with my army of fennecs (useless of course) and muffalos (less useless), took on the most skilled attacker first and then the others one by one. They only hurt one of my muffalos a bit, never even hit my people. So lucky. After that, I've been struggling with the heat stroke. I only cooled my freezer so far, so I'm seeing 45+ Celsius everywhere. All my meat is about to rot. There was a blight. When I installed an electric stove I forgot to add bills. And my pregnant muffalo Bliss gave birth. Here's a screenshot of the chaos my base is, including muffalos boning in the kitchen.

Guh, I'm just dying for more Rimworld now so I voted for that. Should have voted for Far Cry 2, of course. I don't really understand the need for more DS.

This game is fucking tragic. I had two litters of fennec pups born three days ago. One was eaten by a bear, another died in an electrical explosion and one lost a leg in the same explosion...

Attack boars on fire off the shoulder of a potato field - Rimworld seeded start

Quality thread title. Quality idea. Kind of attached to my current colony right now :X -
Our system is nothing like the US but all we do is write a number in a circle. It takes like 10 seconds if you have to look the number up on the sheet in front of you and less if you don't. And, like just mentioned, you can have a simple system and fuck up the ballot design. That's a design problem, not a problem in the overall system. Whoever came up with the butterfly ballot is an idiot.

I'm pretty sure it's intentional. People on their forums are talking about a third bonus mission, after which the three will be bundled as a DLC pack. I'll end up buying the upgrade, but right now I can't afford it and when I do buy it I'll have the taste of blood in my mouth.

I'm sure they could.

Huh, I literally can't remember the scene you're talking about right now. I just remember him turning down Dana when she's possessed. I don't agree with that Nerdlove quote, Venkman is totally prepared to make people feel uncomfortable. He's also prepared to lie and doesn't care about causing people pain. So he's a creep and Dana must have bad taste in men to ever get involved with him. But he's not evil. I've seen so many films in which protagonists actually grab women. Venkman makes Dana throw him out but it's not like he struggles against her. He's out of the apartment like 20 seconds after Dana asks him to leave. He goes about wooing Dana like an asshole, but the society he lives in doesn't have a huge problem with that. That's not Bill Cosby material, that's just a creep.

Wouldn't be so bad if the upgrade price scaled, but it doesn't.
-
Yup, they don't come with the individual DLCs, so apparently Marrakesh for instance won't give you all Marrakesh missions. I'd have to buy the Upgrade pack DLC, but that doesn't account for what I've bought already, so I'd be losing 16€.
-
So I guess I didn't get the Bonus pack after all. Chose the wrong way to buy my missions.
-
It's not like Ghostbusters presents Venkman as some guy to look up to. The movie knows and shows he's a creep from the first scene he's in. He's just not beyond redemption (he refrains from being actually rapey with the possessed Dana). I don't think it's as bad historically as you say, because we still get protagonists in films who act like creeps but their actions are presented as being A-OK.
-
Yeah, I was struggling all the time against doing that.
-
Ahaha, I can't believe that worked. First try too, didn't replan or anything. There are now three escalation missions in Marrakesh. They are pretty different from what shipped with the game. Worth doing IMO.

I've heard two stories. One in which the truck turns to the Tesla's lane (from the representatives of the deceased) and another where the Tesla turns to the truck's slower lane (from the truck driver, I think). EDIT: That diagram is different from the picture I got reading the story I read.
-
Yeah, I'm at 15 now. You get some good stuff in the later levels. Man, the second escalation was so tough. I killed like 11 extra people when I finally managed to finish it. No points, but it's done.
-
It's tough to unlock as much in Marrakech because there are only two escalations and they are damn hard.

It's such a shame people don't know the UK parliamentary system as well as the American one, because it's bonkers in a good way (and also bad ways). I would love to have a shadow cabinet. Some David Tennant goodness through the link.

Maybe I should only watch streams of games I don't know as well as Hitman
