Just finally read up a blurb about this and figured out what it was about. Actually sounds like a neat idea, not something you see everyday in games. Post-disaster city where water is more important than money, and gang / martial law goes into effect*. I like the concept, how does one survive in that situation? However, how does one make a game out of that? If I recall it's the Jade Raymond crew right? That doesn't instill a ton of confidence. Assassin's Creed sounded neat on paper, but the execution of putting gameplay into that concept was generic at best. Knowing them, that won't be enough and they will need a "twist" too and there will be aliens or some time traveling shit worked in. It's like Oblivion with guns in the future but you really are time traveling to the past. Anyhow, I like the setting and conceptual thought. Guess we'll see what the actual game turns out like. * Felt I should clarify: In the modern everyday sense. Not in the dark gritty future where Bro's rule eternal by sheer force of their badassitude and gun size.

Getting back to working on a Warhammer Scout squad matte painting / render. Making progress on the dude but still need to fix a lot of little shit, and redo his legs. Need to make time outside of day job indie game stuff.

The multiplayer beta was cool and all. I love the classic Relic RTS like anyone does, and I'm not a huge RTS person. I wasn't blow away by the beta, but I thought it was good. Then I tried the SP after getting it off Steam. DAMN, this is cool! I really like the RPG elements. Not for everyone I'm sure, but this is the first RTS to really capture my interest in keeping my unique units alive. I never got into WC3, I know it had hero units. I never play a lot of RTS Campaigns as they always lose my interest very fast. Company of Heroes was the first one I really played through without dropping out after a few missions. Very cool idea done well. What is the opinion of DOW2 around here?

Guess I am going now. I'm a little excited because I don't have a lot to do this year!

Anyone playing this regularly? I play pretty often with a small group of Shackers. The VS mode has really grown on me quite a bit actually, it makes a big difference playing with people you know I think. Anyhow, http://steamcommunity.com/id/timaste is my ID if you want to friend me. I'm putting off the DOW2 Beta because I'm afraid it'll kill my work motivation.

Call of Cthulhu: Dark Corners of the Earth [Old game playthrough]

Finally played through this (the PC version). Under rated game, I thought it was pretty great. It still kind of holds up today. I heard the PC version was much more adventure oriented compared to the console version which I heard where more action oriented. I liked the "stress-meter" adventure style linear game play in this sort of setup. Loosely based on the story from The Shadow of Innsmouth but pulls in elements from other HP Lovecraft stories. I always have this weird soft spot for Fable. Oddly enough, I played Fable 2 very differently than Fable 1. I played it more like The Sims and I forgot the main quest to just blacksmith all day to own every piece of real estate I could find. I also had like 50 wifes who hated me. It was like a terrible dream.
