gTLDs are super dumb. I love it so much that I had to get in on the action: http://lords.management/ -
Is that a pixel Jake? I hope that's a pixel Jake.

Rodi, it looks like they're both Uplay only. I think you'll need to set up an account, download the client -- all of that fun stuff. Send me a PM if you're still interested.

Edit: Claimed! I have Splinter Cell: Blacklist and Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag available from a voucher that was bundled in one of my video card purchases. It expires on the 28th and both games activate on Uplay. It's one code for both games, but in one of the steps in the redemption process you'll be given two separate codes for each game. Feel free to give one away or redeem both.

Idle Thumbs 93: Babywall the Horse Armor
DrWaffles replied to Jake's topic in Idle Thumbs Episodes & Streams
The second session of Gabe Newell at LBJ School of Public Affairs is online, but the audio quality is a bit spotty and captured some of the audience talking among themselves. There's a loud sound at 5:30, so be mindful of that. -
I did some remixes once, here is another one

These are pretty great -
I was already looking forward to the game, but I pretty much have to buy it at this point.

It was a great segment! And if that wasn't enough, Vinny Caravella popped in after the Idle Thumbs folk. That mad libs was quite something. This year's Octoberkast was pretty good. I was happy to see Adam Savage stop by.

The First Men on the Moon (neat way to experience Apollo 11's landing)

Thank you for sharing this. Properly synchronizing all of this must have been a real task. -
Very nice. Props to all who worked on it.

While this is a bit more humble than a full-blown production in CryEngine or UE would probably be, I found this simulation of the Curiosity landing to still be really cool: (it uses Java and you'll need to accept the prompt) http://eyes.nasa.gov...nts/msl/edl.xml The "live" mode followed the landing procedure along as it was happening based on the time. You can select the "replay" mode to view the landing again. You can also double click almost any object to center the view about that object, including the skycrane as it shoots off in a direction after the rover separates.

What are you playing for lunch? I want that cartridge adapter. 90s commercials were quite something. -

Mein Thumbcraft—IdleT Dedicated Minecraft Server

I use one that looks like the original, but redrawn at a slightly higher resolution so that it's easier on the eyes. While some of the other packs are beautiful, I don't want to re-familiarize myself with a new style that changes up the look too much. http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/72747-faithful-32x32-pack-updatewood-mods-125/ -

I suppose pixel art or logos are kind of frowned upon as they're not really imaginative, but if you've got a ton of spare glowstone (dust), I'd be happy if you could donate some for the Idle Thumbs "The Wizard" logo. It's located Northeast of the founding town: http://game.idlemc.com:8123/?worldname=thumbs&mapname=flat&zoom=4&x=368.5&y=64&z=-202.25000000000003 There's a chest on the small island west-southwest of the logo. Or, perhaps leave some in the chests by the spawn. I would have used gold, but I'd never get the logo done in a reasonable amount of time. -

Thanks for taking the time to set this all up, tabacco. I only had a little time to fumble about the server last night. It's been a long while since I've played Minecraft -- just about everything including and after the updates that introduced brewing and enchanting is new to me. -

Some dude on Shacknews wrote a plugin for one of the community servers (although for CanaryMod, not Bukkit) that split the world into four "quadrants." One quadrant had mobs and PvP disabled that automatically switched players into creative mode upon entering. The other three quadrants had different combinations of mobs/no mobs and pvp/no pvp in survival mode. Something like this might already exist for Bukkit, but I haven't come across anything yet. -

I fucking love you beautiful people. Thank you for the surprise. -
Has the art for the Jack in the default deck been inspired by Ze Weinhandler? I can't make out what's in his left hand, unfortunately.
