I actually really like the direction they've taken visually - it reminds me of Crackdown/Prince of Persia/Champions Online, and helps to differentiate it visually from id's upcoming Rage (which shares a fair number of thematic elements - post apoc wasteland + dune buggies and critters). There seems to be a 'pop' in the color and characters in the new BL screenshots that was wholly absent in the earlier ones, while not going completely Day-Glo.

No mention of Virtual On: Oratorio Tangram? -
I caved and picked one up to finally replace my gen1 DS, which will probably be given to someone that hasn't yet experienced the greatness that is the Phoenix Wright series - not that it really needed replacing, but the screens on the Lite and DSi are so much nicer and I'm a complete whore for downloadable games. Also: Good call on Aquia, miffy. Thanks for the recommendation!

Nobody would even be concerned with reviews and perceived leniency/harshness of same if it weren't for Metacritic - we'd just find the reviewers/outlets that matched our tastes or rely on word of mouth and everything would be hunky-dory. MC is easily the worst thing to happen to the industry that isn't buried in a landfill in New Mexico.

Heh - you're not the first to say that. I was shooting for '30-ish half-Korean guy', but as soon as I added the glasses my avatar turned into HP. C'est la vie. -

Afternoon all. Been listening to the podcasts for a little while now after stumbling onto them on the Zune marketplace. The periodic references to the forum content here made registering seem like a not-horrible idea. It also turns out that registering while editing SQL at work can lead to random acts of stupidity, so ignore that that 'NisterNoisy' guy that registered right before me.
