aw dude, i feel totally bad now, ha, it wasn't u, but that description u gave earlier in the thread sounded exactly like my game, theres a guy in mine called 'idle spaceships' (hmmm, wonder which podcast he listens too) who was sweet talkin me for ages an he was gonna leave me one planet so i had a route to side slip him and attack the guy on his border with a united assault and the guy allowed the guy we were gonna attack onto that planet then sent an open letter to me an every other player sayin i had got too big for britches and that now was the time to unite and destroy me, treacherous space puffin!

yes it was very kind of u to unite the entire galaxy against me during your death throws, yer i think i need to re-evaluate my opening strategy, im in 2 games atm and after examining everyone elses set up on my first game decided to sacrifice a few ecos and industry upgrade to get a research, if u think about it it effectively doubles ur tech progression speed from the get go, and so far in both games iv started smack bang in the middle of everyone and over-extended my self both times and been completely surrounded by treachery on all sides, even tho i would have honoured every sentence of any pact i agreed to (sigh) Oh, an to the guy who posted his map pic, the passive ai's continue to make ships every build cycle, which i learnt to my own chargrin earlier this mornin, even if the guy only left the bare bones of industry the longer u leave it the more ship u'll have to fight to get those planets later

Awesome, i was wondering whether that was worth checking out, does it need quite a good pc tho?

Well i got it home, it took an half an hour to install and then wouldn't even start coz of system compatibility issues (sigh) but im getting new pc soon, so hangin on to the copy as something to look forward too

All i want to know is if the 'florence and the machine' song is gonna be the theme music, maybe a jazz noir remake that floats in over old gramophone speakers

no link coz im on my phone but, Gemcraft by armour games is a pretty sweet tower defense game, u put gems into already positioned towers and the gems do the shootin, each colour has individual affects and they can all be combined together to make stronger gems ie level 1 gem + level 1 gem = level 2 gem, and the best part is the score is cumulative and can then be use to buy upgrades and there are billions of levels u unlock as u progress, i found it at tower dense.net, it was in the top ten games

hey guys im not fully PC tech savvy and im just wonderin if this Pc im looking at is up to scratch, iv been burned more times than i like to think about by poor graphics cards, poor speed and crappy reliability and i really wanna get it right this time, iv done a bit of research but im not any clearer. thanks man this looks great i may end up just buying it in parts, but im gonna go check out the rig my mates just bought, install a few games on it and see how they run tomorrow night, from wat hes told me it seems to have a lot of multi tasking power, ill let u know how it runs, but i wouldn't mind maybe just buying some super high tech stuff just a piece at a time and then have a future proof finished product, we'll see, from wat i heard on the podblast star craft 2's not got that high spec needs does it? just the one iv got at the moment struggles with rome total war, textures poppin in and out like it was a disco, and my old one couldn't do even that. any sweet rts' i should know about?

i see, i think its become apparent how little i know wat im doin, ha, so that number does make a difference? wasn't sure if it was just an affectation. well i was hopin to keep it under 300 pounds which is about 500 dollars, my friend has recently bought a base from currys for 230 with a 4gb graphics card, so that sounds promising, its a dual core 2ghz processor 3gb ram, ill try an get more spec as they come in, any specifics i should look for or avoid? x

oh good lord im never goin to be able to get that innocence back! the bass just wouldn't stop pumpin. . . .and the thrusting. . . . uh. . . it was awful, why would u do those things gabe? WHY???!!?

i think the maps are missin in the 360 version as well, an that appears to be a design choice and not and over sight, it even explains on one of the loading screens that u only get maps for the Hubs, major plot centers like omega and the citadel, so that doesn,t have much to do with the pc, and y would u need to place markers? the maps are so "places of interest" heavy u could never get lost, and the mission areas are so linear they might as well be straight lines! And u think it sucks not having shortcuts for weapons? try using Radial menus!

There is actually a health stat, its next to ur abilities purchase screen when u go onto squad, to the left, its just a number, but ur right, it doesn't serve any real purpose when u cant monitor it in game, although it did take me a while to notice the red health bar at the bottom of the screen, but that was mostly because of the cod edge of screen blood vein things, i always love a good ol health bar tho

yer, i found that quite annoying, especially when u purchase an extra power, coz im on my second play through an i reached the level cap and i need another third more points to purchase all the ranks, which seems really stupid to me and is a problem that a lot of games with similar leveling systems seem to include, u should be able to gain enough points to fully upgrade ur character, i know it makes u make choices about wat u invest in but man, when ur playing it on insanity or hardcore u just want every advantage u can get ur hands on!

hey guys, just so chris doesn't delete me ill mention first that im a fan and a listener and i have been for a while, but. . . . shipto.net is selling uk mass effect 2 for 28 quid for one week only, i only mention this because i had rented the game to play it because i couldn't afford full price and i just bought a copy coz of this deal and i just wanted to help out anyone in a similar position that cant always afford a 50 quid game and doesn't want to miss out on wat is a really great game, i dont know when the week started so i have no idea how long the sale will last, so get in there quick if ur interested and americans, theres no harm in checking but i dont know if its an international seller (oh and the sale price is basically 70%) sorry if some1s already posted this i didn't have time to read the whole thread WIZARD! is anyone gonna mention rts? yer yer total war, but star wars empire at war, even age of empires 3, which didn't get ace reviews but that i couldn't fault if id had a good enough computer to run it properly. Go classic KOTOR or new Mass Effect 2 in january oh yer just because im a nerd, star wars best of pc u can pick up for 15 quid and its worth 10 times that

that has literally made me not want to buy this game, im with the guy who said it looks better than dantes inferno, the only reason i liked mass effect is because it wasn't that trailer, DAMN U GAMES! Y MUST U DESTROY ALL THAT I LOVE?!?!?!
