Difficulty in games.. is it that difficult to understand?
illeria replied to Tanukitsune's topic in Video Gaming
Theres nothing like finding the perfect difficulty for you in a game. Something thats challenging yet not impossible. This ranges from person to person, genre to genre. Adding difficulty levels also adds re playability in games. For example, I usually beat most shooters (modern warfare 2 comes to mind) more than once. First on a normal difficulty, then once again on the hardest difficulty. Also, Having different difficulty settings you can change mid game lets you tweak your own experience. Just last night I was playing the new Bioshock dlc and I had to change the difficulty from normal to easy because I got stuck in a certain area. If I didn't have that out I probably would have just stopped playing the game. -
Oh man, I just finished the DLC. Fucking great, honestly. I'm my mind this is perfect DLC. It tells its own story separate from the main plot, while keeping some characters and adding a few game play elements to make it unique. Another thing I loved about the gameplay is the quick ramp-up from weak to incredibly powerful. It feels just as fluent as Bioshock 1 and 2 did, and in only a few hours. Pretty impressive. I don't wanna give to many spoilers so I'll just say that the story is incredibly touching, especially near the end. It deals with some subjects like racism and gives them a twist that only the Bioshock world can. This is bar far some of the best DLC I have ever played. But I didn't find the audio recording of Andrew Ryan saying "baboo" which makes me sad.

Seeing as how I just bought Minecraft and haven't really contributed anything, I would just like to say I'm excited at the the idea of starting an all new map. But whatever you guys decide to to I'm down with, as long as I can contribute.

Just bought Minecraft and tried to check out the server, but I keep timing out. Is the server down? Or am I doing something wrong?

Yea, its quite depressing to know tha chances are we wont have a solid game we play every week like left 4 dead or battlefield. Im definitely picking up brink.

I kind of feel like a jerk for not playing this yet. Downloading now to rectify the situation.

I'm not really sure how many of us will be there on Sunday. But it looks like there could be more than a full versus game worth of Thumbs. So someone might need to start up a regular campaign game and people can decide what they want too do.

I agree! the multi player makes the game a lot more tolerable. If anyone wants to play just ask. Ill be more than willing. maybe we can get a four player competitive game going?

Count me in. I feel like were in a western, and the whole gang is getting together for one last job. Shall we say Sunday at the regular time?

Anytime Tuesday or Thursday would be aces for me.

I'm down. I also am hoping for some North American appropriate game times.

Yup, I can definitely confirm that there may or may not have been a coin flipped, and that the result of that coin flip happened to be either heads or tails.

To be honest I really don't mind getting cheesed like this. It makes me look up ways to counter it, ultimately making me a better player. But I don't usually go into a game with a solid plan or build order in mind, which could be a major flaw.

Yupp, it seems like toss players do 2 things constantly. Either void, or cannon rush.

I'm pretty sure I'm in the wrong league. I'm in gold right now and I'm 9 wins and 20 losses lol.

Lol, forgiven. Also, good job on guessing it was me. May I ask what my tell was?
