  1. Good Old GOG

I hope they come back, gog.com had a lot of games that you couldn't purchase from anywhere else. If it really shuts down, torrent sites will be the only method to get some of those games Gog.com, PCDL
  2. Neptune's Bountiful Pride 4

Now that the Thumbs game is over, I'll try to guess peoples identities. SylvesterStalloneVanityProject = Murdoc ZaphodBeeblebrox = Tobacco Swiftheart Rabbit = Hero Protagonist Capt Gunga Galunga = Chris Sean Vanaman = SpeedyDesiato StopmotionAutomaton = Sleepdance Transformouse = Jake I'm probably way off with these, but I might as well give it a try.
  3. Amnesia: The Dark Descent

Holy crap this game is terrifying! I can't play it more than 30 minutes at a time, because it's so stressful. What's strange to me is that I like horror games, but rarely find them to be scary, due to the fact that they always go for cheap jump scares. I've played over an hour now and I have to say that Amnesia is doing a great job making you fear the unknown, my concern is that the game will lose it's scariness once I see who or what is trying to kill me. I hope this game does well for Frictional, especially after I red this article. Frictional guys seem to know how to make atmospheric horror games and I hope they'll stay in business.
  4. Now that finished listening the final episode, I just wanted to thank Chris, Jake, Nick, Steve and Sean for casting pods and being awesome. Good job ending the podcast with a live episode and a great Far Cry 2 story. Good luck in your future endeavours.
  5. Grand Thumb Auto: Shakespeare's Revenge?

I have GTA IV on PC for some odd reason, but I don't mind playing it on 360.
  6. WTF is Telltale's new game?

You're right! Despite it's name, Texas Cheat'Em had nothing to do with cheating
  7. Back to the Future

I believe Telltale only got Christopher Lloyd for their game. Telltale is making really interesting games now, but I do hope there would be another Monkey Island coming out at some point.
  8. Worms reloaded

Worms HD had the exact same problem on XBLA, so my guess is that they won't be fixing that. Text chat is, like everyone else have already pointed out, pretty bad. I hope they would patch it, so you could at least see new messages on the bottom of the screen. That being said, I had a blast playing multiplayer.
  9. Worms reloaded

Pre ordered it a couple of days ago. This game's gonna be sweet!
  10. Jagged Alliance Online

That might be good, but there's already a multiplayer mod for Jagged Alliance 2 and JA 3 is coming out next year.
  11. Aquaria

I also got this via the Humble Indie sale, but I'm stuck and don't know what to do . I try to play it every now and then, but I have no idea how to get past those stones with star symbols on them and I know that I probably have to do something really simple. I would really appreciate it if someone would help me out with this one.
  12. Mafia II

Have you tried changing driving to simulation? It made driving a lot better for me.
  13. Costume Quest

I never understood why people complained about the Meat Circus, I didn't have any problems with it. Sure it was challenging, but far from impossible or unplayable. I'm really looking forward to Costume Quest and Double Fine's other downloadable releases, especially if one of them is a pure point & click adventure game. Ron Gilbert did recently leave Hothead games, maybe he'll team up with Tim Schafer.
  14. I'm actually surprised that there's been so much speculation on different forums about this teaser, yet no one has mentioned this.
  15. I always thought SWAT 4 was a revolutionary FPS game and hoped that developers would start to use features that game had, unfortunately no one else really cared about that game. If they're not making a new SWAT game, I hope they at least utilize the AI from SWAT 4 in some way.
  16. When Chris said he's moving "east" he actually meant Eastern Europe, his new employer is CDProjekt Red.
  17. Neptune's Bountiful Pride 3

I would like to join. I've been doing well in free games, but I have a feeling I won't stand a chance against you guys.
  18. Minecraft

Grab that gold and craft yourself a nice looking golden armor.
  19. Maybe Jake will arrange a spin-off of some sort, though he (and Steve) didn't seem particularly interested in doing a podcast now that Chris is also leaving. I'm hoping that you'll just take a break for a couple months and come back with Idle Thumbs season three, featuring Jake Rodkin, Steve Gaynor and Sean Vanaman.
  20. More like Idle FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU... Damnit, I was really excited when I saw there was a podcast this week and now this. Well, congrats to Chris
  21. Recently completed video games

Just finished Limbo and Alan Wake: The Signal and liked both of them. I recommend Limbo if you don't mind the 15 dollar price point.
  22. Limbo

Just finished it in one sitting, took me about 2 hours. First of all I really appreciated the fact that there weren't any tutorials or textboxes that pop up. That ambient, almost nonexistent music and excellent sound design really made the atmosphere really creepy. Also, this was probably the first video game where I looked away, because something gross was happening. I am talking about the part where Definetly one of the better video games out this year .
  23. Grand Thumb Auto reunion?

I had a strong Heat vibe during cops & crooks. Unfortunately, it was ruined by a civilian who decided to run over Miffy. Good times everyone, as always.
  24. The Witcher

I also thought this game was amazing, but I sucked at it. I had to use a trainer at the end, because my character was too weak. Geralt lost his memory just so you would have to learn all of his skills again. It would be kind of weird if a renown witcher would suck at the beginning of the game, for no real reason.
  25. George Wizard Bush is actually included in the retail box version of Trine.
