Follow-up to Namco's bizarre cosmic-snowball simulator gets a dedicated site of its own.

TOKYO--Namco has taken a teaser page for its anticipated sequel to Katamari Damacy live. Now titled Minna Daisuki Katamari Damacy on the official site, the game title translates to "Everyone's Favorite Katamari Damacy."

Namco has yet to disclose much about the title, but gamers can check out four screen shots of Minna Daisuki Katamari Damacy online. The game is slated for release on the PlayStation 2 in spring 2005.

In a posting on the game's site, the developers working on the Katamary Damacy sequel announced that they will temporary suspend updates on the original game's official site starting today.

"Thank you for always visiting Katamari Damacy on the Web. This site is operated by the development staff, but we will have to stop its updates for a while to concentrate on Minna Daisuki Katamari Damacy's creation. Please look forward to the upcoming Katamari Damacy."

Wow four Japanese words! Now I can sound even more geeky.

Spring 2005 eh? Sounds like a quick sequel. That's pretty smart.

I hope this one is longer and harder. :naughty: You can't really tell if the graphics are any better from those screens, but if it means a quick release I'm all for it. :innocent:

Ditto, Europe always gets the short end of the stick when it comes to games...

And when a game DOES come out in Europe first it's a "castrated" version and the US/Japan gets a superior version...

AFAIK, we had a Collector's Edition with some postcards, that's about it...

And not much else... :shifty:

I was pretty sure the PAL version had some extras. If you played the game a second time you could understand what Yorda was saying or something along those lines?

...Maybe I just made that up.

It's seems there was a few differences between the EU and US editions, but according to a

FAQ I found this option is in both editions, I think...

So maybe once a year they do give Europe a treat, but they still treat us like garbage the rest of the year... :shifty:

Who changed the title of my post? Cause thats not what i named it as.
I did. Sometimes I change topic titles so that it's easier (or at all possible) to figure out what they're about. Nothing personal.

That is why I don't bother giving threads titles any more. I just leave the field blank or write "twiddletwiddletwiddle" and sit back and wait for someone to change it to something descriptive and applicable.

This game is going to rock, I mean, look at what the website says about it:

Simplicity operation that way! Basic only 2 sticks left and right. The border and age and sex exceeding, everyone it can enjoy directly.

I must really suck translating games. You know, without google to do it for them.
