Lepr Posted May 2, 2005 They should use some poster shots of him from Sin City. That would be cool.Unfortunately the Marketing guys will probably just play the LotR-Card. Once a Hobbit always a Hobbit.
Chris Posted May 2, 2005 That would be cool.Unfortunately the Marketing guys will probably just play the LotR-Card. Once a Hobbit always a Hobbit. Yeah, it would be totally great to have a psychotic cannabal rapist as the symbol for your entertainment system...
Lepr Posted May 2, 2005 Yeah, it would be totally great to have a psychotic cannabal rapist as the symbol for your entertainment system... Have you never heard of agressive marketing? Okey I admit. I havent seen Sin City, yet. I was merely trying to... uh.. actually I have no idea why I said what I said. Guess I have to go all Mr.T all over my own ass now, eh? You FOOL, speaking bout stuff you dont know nothing bout. I'm Sorry I pitty all the FOOLS that act like you. Waltzing round internet forums like spoiled little children. I PITTY THE FOOLS! Is that enough?
Chris Posted May 2, 2005 Okey I admit. I havent seen Sin City, yet. Crap, I guess I spoiled some of it for you.
lailoken Posted May 2, 2005 whatever the character in Sin City is (I never read the original comic) I guess we can all agree that the LOOK of the character is way COOLER than the Frodo look from LotR!? And now I will just pretend that I didn't read what Chris wrote about "Kevin"!
JoeX111 Posted May 2, 2005 Definitely. Elija Wood WAS Kevin in the movie, which was pretty scary, actually. And I don't think his character was a rapist. Just a psychotic cannibal.

Lechimp Posted May 2, 2005 Sin City spoilers Yeah, he wasn't a rapist. He only went after prostitutes because no one would miss them. That movie rocked so much though, it followed the comics almost perfectly aside from some added colors and the death of one character. It's going to be hard to do another sin city movie though. Hell and Back has that really long hallucination sequence and A Dame to Kill For is a prequel to The Big Fat Kill which is going to confuse the hell out of a lot of people. JoeX111 Posted May 2, 2005 Further Sin City spoilers... They are already talking about doing Sin 2, as they have Johnny Depp slated as the main character in Hell and Back. The sequel wouldn't be nearly as good, though, just because the stories they have left are pretty weak. A Dame To Kill For is good, but like you mentioned, it being a prequel to The Big Fat Kill might be confusing for audiences. Then all that is left (unless I'm forgetting something) are a bunch of short one shot comics and the really atrocious Family Values. You know, in all the many times I read the first Sin City graphic novel, I never realized Kevin had those claw fingernails? Even though Marv mentions them cutting his eyes, I never looked at them on the page, and always just assumed he was scratching Marv or something. Then I saw them in the movie, went home, looked it up, and said "Well I'll be damned...."
_oswald Posted May 2, 2005 Yeah, it would be totally great to have a psychotic cannabal rapist as the symbol for your entertainment system... Kevin wasn't a rapist. He pryed on hookers because nobody cared if they died (and their deaths were easy-as-nails to cover-up). Goddamnit, Iv;e been beaten to the punch.
Chris Posted May 2, 2005 Ok ok, sorry. Anyway, Rodriguez has often stated that he plans to adapt all of Miller's Sin City stories into film.
n0wak Posted May 3, 2005 Yeah, it would be totally great to have a psychotic cannabal rapist as the symbol for your entertainment system... Well, it IS a Microsoft console. Kevin wasn't a rapist. He pryed on hookers because nobody cared if they died (and their deaths were easy-as-nails to cover-up). So you're not a rapist if you rape hookers?
netmonkey Posted May 3, 2005 Rodriguez is so comic-booky... I think he made Sin City a great movie... Anway, I think they should use the Elijah Wood from Back to the Future Part II! After all, he is credited as "Video Game Boy #1". I'm glad that Elijah Wood is looking for all kinds of roles these days, and not being typecasted as a Hobbit. Unlike Legolas Orlando Bloom who always plays warrior archer in epic movie now days.
Chris Posted May 3, 2005 He didn't rape them. He killed and ate them. MY BAD, SORRY.

Lechimp Posted May 3, 2005 God, Chris is such a fucking dumbass. Who the hell would think that Kevin raped the prostitutes? But seriously, they really can't make any of the graphics novels into movie form without it sucking except for a Dame to Kill For. Everyone is going to think that Miho killing people on rollerblades is retarded. Booze Broads and Bullets is all shorts stories, you can't have a third of a movie just be really short stories that have nothing to do with eachother, and I already said why Hell and Back won't work (unless they really cut out parts of the hallucination scene). Robert Rodriguez might be able to make them into movie form, but it's going to be really hard. Would it have been possible to make just one of the graphic novels into a feature length film or are they too short? On the IMDB forums everyone says that the Colonel is the salesman at an older age, where is this even said in the books? I haven't read Booze, Broads, and Bullets but there's no clues of it in Hell and Back. It seems like everyone on the IMDB forums is just making it up since the salesman is an assassin and the colonel is a person that kidnaps people and sells them or...something. Hell and Back wasn't even as awesome as the other Sin City stories, it was actually pretty mediocre. But at least the good thing about Elijah Wood hosting this is that we know he isn't hyper and stuff like one of those craaaaaaazy hosts from G4. As long as MTV doesn't try to make it hip, it shouldn't be another gaming show for retards.
