Erkki Posted May 29, 2005 Sorry for this again, but Andy Baio's waxy.org/links is becoming my favourite site/blog ever... I'm constantly finding great stuff there... This I actually found linked to in some other site, but I started from waxy: The Long Tail Forget squeezing millions from a few megahits at the top of the charts. The future of entertainment is in the millions of niche markets at the shallow end of the bitstream. A great read about the (near) future of the entertainment industry. Probably applies to games as well.

n0wak Posted May 30, 2005 The writer of that article is writing a book on the subject and is documenting stuff at his weblog http://longtail.typepad.com/the_long_tail/ Check out the first entry there -- 3D printing elements from 3D games. How it applies to games? Here's one opinion http://hello.typepad.com/hello_nintendo/2005/05/nintendos_long_.html And this was a good article too http://economist.com/finance/displayStory.cfm?story_id=3936129 Hooray for niche markets.
