nsps Posted June 10, 2005 There are two new Neo Geo CD emulators for Dreamcast that are supposed to run pretty well, and I was wondering what games from the system are worth playing, as I never had the system but thought it might be fun to teach my DC some new tricks. Thanks for any advice y'all might have.
Dingo Chavez Posted June 11, 2005 I never played with Neo Geo CD, but I heard that King of Fighters is a fine fighting franchise. Sorry that I can't be all that helpful.
hermes Posted June 11, 2005 There's the sequel to Out of This World aka Another World: 'Heart of the Alien'. Eric Chahi wasn't really involved but I found it to be very nice.
Kolzig Posted June 11, 2005 Hmm, the sequel was only made to MegaDrive or SNES, if I remember correctly?
JoeX111 Posted June 11, 2005 It was on Sega CD. Not a bad little romp I suppose (the intro movie showing what the alien friend was doing the whole time you were running through the first game is fantastic), but the game is much more difficult and the ending is pretty bleak, though probably more realistic than what most games would do. nsps Posted June 11, 2005 Thanks for the advice, although the main conclusion that I'm drawing is… No one has ever actually played NeoGeoCD. I can't seem to find any used games anywhere anyway. If I try that Kings of Fighting one, I'll let y'all know how it is.
Ben Posted June 11, 2005 My friend has a Neo Geo CD. Good games to get on it (that i've actually played): World Heroes 2 King of Fighters 97 Samurai Showdown RPG Double Dragon View Point
twmac Posted June 28, 2005 Hmm, the sequel was only made to MegaDrive or SNES, if I remember correctly? It was released on the Mega-CD. And if you can get it, Samurai Showdown 4 is one of the best beat-em-ups, ever. I've just seen a Neo Geo CD on sale in a Gamestation in Cambridge... Am still drooling.
