Tanukitsune Posted June 16, 2005 Only in California? I guess the nerds won't ask to be excused from gym class now?
BaconIsGood4You Posted June 16, 2005 ...wow...I'm sure DDR will motivate obese kids to exercise. God I hate American public schools...
Chris Posted June 17, 2005 If it helps people exercise, who cares if it's DDR?
BaconIsGood4You Posted June 17, 2005 For one, if a kid won't do kickball, they won't do DDR. That game is hard, frustrating, and tiring. Also I wouldn't encourage video games during gym class, especially expensive ones like DDR. We want kids to play outside, kick a ball, whatever, not want to play a video game. Taxpayers dollars should be spent on balls and such.
MrChlorophyll Posted June 17, 2005 Taxpayers dollars should be spent on balls and such. That is truly one of the most enlightened metaphors I've ever read.
Moosferatu Posted June 17, 2005 Doesn't seem to have helped this kid.

Roderick Posted June 17, 2005 I think DDR is one of the most compelling reasons ever to start exercising. I've been tempted multiple times to buy a mat to do it myself, always to be frightened off by the prospect of buying crappy quality ones that wouldn't work, lack of space and high cost of the best equipment. nsps Posted June 17, 2005 Seems to me, the gaming companies should donate the equipment to this first experiment, as if it works it would make good publicity and more business.
