Redwall Posted March 6, 2006 At some point I actually destroyed the orphanage (or at least a random building the citizens claimed was the orphanage).
miffy495 Posted March 6, 2006 Well, dammit. Now I want to replay Freedom Force.
nsps Posted March 6, 2006 I'll agree with you about Lungfishopolis, but I still really enjoyed it throughout. It's mostly the dialogue that keeps that level afloat. The gameplay was a bit sluggish, for obvious reasons, but the lines delivered there were all great. Everything from the radio broadcasts to what the resitance fighters said as well as the frightened citizens felt really spot on. "He's impervious to bullets... and love." Those were great, but for my money, nothing beats the censor-in-disguise's comments in the Milkman Conspiracy. "Although I often smell of excrement, I should not be discriminated against as I provide a valuable service."
Roderick Posted March 6, 2006 Ahh, the whole game is just a testament to how important quality writing is to a game
miffy495 Posted March 6, 2006 "As I age, my husband will find me less attractive. But he will always. love. the pies."
nsps Posted March 7, 2006 OK, I finished Black Velvetopia. Pretty damn awesome, and indeed poignant, but it's hard to top Milkman. The twist at the end was definitely more surprising than backstage. I guess now I only have the level that everyone says is ridiculously hard. At any point does the game let you play the levels as if they haven't been cleared? I didn't save a save game at the beginning of Milkman, and want to show some people how cool it is.
brkl Posted March 7, 2006 Off the top of my head... You need to use the bacon to get to the underground base and then go to whats-his-name the male agent's place and use the big brain cannon thing.
Moosferatu Posted March 7, 2006 You can go back to any mind through the collective unconscious, but there is no way to reset them to their beginning state. However, if you're playing the PC version I could send you a save at that point if you wanted it.
nsps Posted March 8, 2006 That would be great, I'll pm you. It's fun to return to the now-stabilized minds, but it's a bit of a drag to have to go through the whole game to replay the levels.
Moosferatu Posted March 8, 2006 I just thought I'd mention this for the benefit of anyone else wanting to replay a specific level without going through the whole game, you might want to check out Benny's save game editor. I haven't tried it myself yet (and had actually forgotten about it till a couple minutes ago), but I'm sure it works wonders like the rest of Benny's programs. -MaSQuE- Posted April 4, 2006 Well, I'm a mask from Belgium, that's all there is to know. And I'm still a pretty mediocre gaming columnist on a site going nowhere. Yeepee.

miffy495 Posted April 9, 2006 That's really just a general effect of the forums though. All you need to do is say "I'm a thumb" and you have to start beating the opposite sex away with a stick.
-MaSQuE- Posted May 28, 2006 That's really just a general effect of the forums though. All you need to do is say "I'm a thumb" and you have to start beating the opposite sex away with a stick. Well, now that you mention it, there have been some side effects. Since I became a thumb my clothes don't fit and I seem to be lacking an awful lot of appendixes. miffy495 Posted May 29, 2006 Hmmm... in your case, does the opposite sex happen to all look like shady black-market-organ type people? I've heard they'll try to trick you like that. Although who would want an appenix, you'll have to ask someone else.

qdqwdd Posted October 26, 2006 First of all, I didnt notice the forums being down... *dodges pans* This last year I became a console gamer, who'd say it 5 years back when I only played adventure games! I discovered the pleasure of just inserting a disc and play, no system specs, no outdated drivers and graphic cards... I got a PS2 mostly to play ICO and Shadow of the Colossus what a game!!!!!! more than a game it is an experience, I've been *living* in it since march, and cant get tired of it...
