Marek Posted April 30, 2006 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_g8vCqvIuec&search=White%20House%20Correspondents%20Dinner I saw the sketch with the two bushes on TV this morning (from the corner of my eye at least) and was like WTF is this doing on the news, and then I found out where it's actually from, and then I saw the whole Colbert thing. Pwn. :colbert: :colbert:
Steve Posted April 30, 2006 Oh man, is he totally dying out there or is the audio quality just bad? It sounds like some people aren't too amused at Colbert's lighthearted jabs!
MrChlorophyll Posted April 30, 2006 That was awesome.
MrHoatzin Posted April 30, 2006 Colbert is one of few men I would go down on without thinking twice.
Marek Posted April 30, 2006 Okay that youtube clip is about half of it. A full version is floating around on bittorrent. It's fucking incredible and it includes Bush / audience reaction shots.

MrChlorophyll Posted April 30, 2006 Kingzjester said: Colbert is one of few men I would go down on without thinking twice. Oh I agree entirely. If Colbert walked in the room and said "Let's make a baby!" I'd be all "Hells yeah!"

brkl Posted April 30, 2006 Wow, he handed that really, really well. Some of those jokes were fucking brilliant. :drunk:
Moosferatu Posted May 1, 2006 I don't think it was Colbert at his best.
miffy495 Posted May 1, 2006 No, not his best, but the fact that there's only one guy between him and Bush puts it over the top. That guy has the biggest balls on the planet. "The last third is usually backwash..." Fucking genius.
Roderick Posted May 1, 2006 Quite amusing. I doubt those stubbornheaded neo-conservatist got to thinking though. I like how he balanced it so the mob didn't get angry whilst still giving strong jabs in the face.

nsps Posted May 1, 2006 Moos, I think that the material itself was quite solid (although the video at the end was a bit long), but his delivery was thrown off my the rather chilly reception from the room. I guess that's what happens when you expose your audience (which includes the head of the country) as a bunch of phonies. Why the media is only reporting about Bush doing a routine with an impersonator, I don't know.
Marek Posted May 2, 2006 Ummm, no, they wouldn't have.
MrHoatzin Posted May 2, 2006 The media is not reporting just because he was extreme. Journalists are vain cunts apparently.
Lechimp Posted May 2, 2006 Obviously. There was a video posted somewhere of Fox News talking about the speech, and everytime Colbert's thing was mentioned, the Fox News people said that he went too far. They probably didn't like the jokes about them.
Roderick Posted May 2, 2006 Well, they do show both sides of the coin, you know.

MrChlorophyll Posted May 4, 2006 The "apparently" at the end creates the possibility of doubt. To me, the absolute state of cunt-iness is much more satisfying.
MrHoatzin Posted May 4, 2006 It implies causality more than doubt. I demand an apology!
MrChlorophyll Posted May 4, 2006 I am so very sorry about my impulsiveness to categorize everything into absolute states. I am a sick man. I have issues. No, no... I have volumes. I'm ordering my straight jacket off Ebay right now. And dude, you're a smiley stacking god.
