tabacco Posted May 13, 2006 That line is insane! I wonder if the sony booth got anywhere near that... Wait for Wii demos: ~5 hours at some points. Wait for Sony demos: 10 mins. most of the day. Every time I walked by, there were maybe 50 people in line for Sony. The fact that the PS3 demos are still running on 2RU dev kits probably has a lot to do with that though. Marek Posted May 14, 2006 Watch everyone run straight past the Sony booth and to Nintendo: http://www.kotaku.com/gaming/top/e306-clips-e3-morning-stampede-173469.php
SpiderMonkey Posted May 14, 2006 Sony is in trouble. I doubt it, personally. I think Sony, like EA, understands and have demonstrated that you don't necessarily need hardcore gamers on your side for your products to be a success. They are still the most effective at reaching the mysterious "mainstream" and it'll take evidence of that changing to convince me that they are really in trouble. baconian Posted May 14, 2006 yeah, the games press are the ones who raved about psychonauts and BG&E and such. How much of an indicator of success can they be?
Lechimp Posted May 14, 2006 Sony is in trouble. It's really immature but I get pleasure out of seeing Sony flop at E3 as well. The Wii is making me into an obnoxious fanboy again.
