Preordering from Amazon

Recommended Posts

Just a quicky. Anyone done this before? If so, do you know if they ship it so that it'll arrive on the release date, or they ship it on the release date? :fart:

from past experience they get it to you on or before release... but I havent done it in a while.

I think it says that somewhere on their site actually.

Even when you live in Europe? If that's true, I'm preordering Brisco County.

*disclaimer* don't blame me if I'm wrong ¬¬

we could test it out though, pre-order something else that arrives sooner and send it back heh.

If you're in Europe and you're ordering something from the US I don't think you get it on release. You get it a few days after the release date in my experience. They ship it on the release date, although sometimes a day or two earlier actually.

Amazon is based in the UK too so I'm assuming they stock and send from there when you go through the .co.uk website. I preordered New Mario Bros a while back so I guess we'll see TOMORROW whether or not they do ship to meet the date.

Yeah, it's finally coming on out on dvd in July, about 2 weeks from now.

Also another Bruce Campbell series, Jack of All Trades is coming out on that very same day.

Or at least so Amazon says, but I don't think the JOAT date has been confirmed.

In my experience, things preordered from Amazon ship ON their release day. I've only preordered a few things from them, for example back when Dead Like Me was put on DVD, but that's how they've always worked with me. Maybe it's just Amazon Canada.

With a copy of New Mario Bros on my lap right now, I can happily confirm that Amazon (UK) does indeed (try to) ship games so they arrive on their release date. Yay!

No macings for Spaff, then. :shifty:

Actually I think it has been confirmed, because all retailers are saying that it's coming out on the same date, and also tvshowsondvd said it and they are 100% reliable when it comes to release dates.

I've never had anything ship before release from Amazon, and I buy there a lot. Usually, it takes a day or two AFTER the release for it to ship, and even with a faster shipping option, it's usually a good three days away after that. So don't have high hopes.

I don't recall ever preordering from Amazon. But even if they ship on release date you'll get it really quickly, usually. I just received an order that I placed 2 days ago.

I get ALL of my news from www.bruce-campbell.com.

Well fine, if you just click the MORE INFO link on Bruce's website news post about JoAT, it links directly to the tvshowsondvd.com news post about Jack of All Trades which says that it will come out on July 18th, *the same day as The Adventures of Brisco County Jr.* :mock:

The release is pretty basic and disappointing, because it doesn't include any kind of extras, like commentary tracks etc.

But thankfully Brisco County includes all kinds of fun stuff and is a must buy for everyone.

And Jack of All Trades is a fun series, even though it ran for such a limited time only. It's pretty cheaply priced so that is a must buy too.
