Salka Posted September 1, 2006 I'm going to impulse-buy a kitten on the way home from work today, so that nobody can stop me because nobody can send away a little orphan kitten once they have made eye contact with it because by then it's too late and they already love the kitten because it's so cute it just makes everybody want to explode. If my flatmates protest, I'll just tell the kitten to make eye contact with them. "You can't have a cat in this-- oh, look at it. Isn't it sweet? Call it sweetheart!" This kitten, it will love me. It will sleep on my pillow every night, curled into a warm furry ball. If it gets cold, it might hide under the duvet or snuggle into my neck. I will feed it fine fresh fish and the top of the milk, every single morning. Where is the best place to buy tiny orphan kittens with big blue eyes that need a loving home? Nick Posted September 1, 2006 The RSPCA in Brighton is probably the best place for orphan kittens. Also I've just discovered what an awesome website they have ¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬ You seem to have it all planned out. What if the cat turns out to be a cunt?
Nick Posted September 1, 2006 http://petsovernight.com/ ? You can buy a pet whale? that's completely awesome! And also Stomach Parasites
brkl Posted September 1, 2006 Are you the only person in the world who hasn't played Grand Theft Auto, uhh, 3?
Nick Posted September 2, 2006 Are you the only person in the world who hasn't played Grand Theft Auto, uhh, 3? If it was something on the radio then that would make sense. I played it through on my PC listening to my own music on the radio pretty much the entire game.
miffy495 Posted September 2, 2006 "Petsovernight.com. Delivering little bundles of love, in a box, directly to your door." Damn, I listened to Chatterbox pretty much the entire game. I must've heard the entire thing about 50 times, but because it was broken up by the gameplay I didn't even care. Now, I can almost recite it without noticing. Anyway, good luck with your cat adventures. I grew up with 7 of 'em, and even though there were a couple not-so-good-tempered ones, they still had their really sweet and lovable moments. Just get ready for the long haul. One of these 7 is still with me today. He's only 6 months younger than me, (thus: 18) and requires two shots of insulin a day. That and heart medication. Thor is one old sonnofabitch cat, but still manages to be awesome if you keep him medicated. Prepare yourself for the same type of thing.
brkl Posted September 2, 2006 Wow, 18? I think ours is 10 or 11 and I'm already getting worried about her age :/
miffy495 Posted September 3, 2006 Yeah, in my experience if a cat can make it past 12, it'll never die. If one of my cats gets beyond its 12th birthday, it'll live to be almost 20. Thor's brother died when he was 11, 7 years (and a cross-country move) later and Thor's still kicking around. Hobbes looks like he'll make it to almost-20 as well, as he's 13 now and quite fit. Compare that to Al, who'd lost an eye to Glaucoma when he was 10 and died two years later, and those two are doing really damn well.

brkl Posted September 3, 2006 It's the same for humans, only the age is 140. Try it.
Nick Posted September 3, 2006 It can't be completely the same. Cats have 9 lives for a start.
