juv3nal Posted August 20, 2016 this guy is also so ridiculously prolific too, but I hadn't heard of him until recently. can he just soundtrack my life with his groove jazz/funk/disco jams.

Mawd Posted September 2, 2016 RTJ did a fantastic collab with DJ Shadow
Henke Posted September 8, 2016 I like that new Nick Cave song, and that RTJ/DJ Shadow video is pretty crazy, but now for something completely different... The Divine Comedy! I've always liked this band, but mostly for individual songs than whole albums. His new one tho, Foreverland, I've ended up listening through several times over the past couple days. It's great. Very beautiful and theatrical, kinda in the vein of The Decemberists or some of Amanda Palmers stuff. This track is a bit more poppy. A bit more dad-rocky. juv3nal Posted September 9, 2016 Mike Paradinas/µ-Ziq does a 1 hour continuous mix of Aphex Twin (consisting of, I think, largely pre-Come to Daddy material): http://thevinylfactory.com/vinyl-factory-releases/vf-mix-63-aphex-twin-by-%C2%B5-ziq/
Mawd Posted September 9, 2016 Been listening to BadBadNotGood and The Internet a lot lately. Also I've started getting into UK Grime MC's like and again. Also about to check out Vince Staples.

zerofiftyone Posted September 10, 2016 Recently I got introduced to the new Jerry Paper album and I haven't been able to put it down all week. It's a good record that I'd recommend you listen to all the way through if you're into 1960s sounding pop with jazz overtones. It has an Elephant 6 vibe to it which I enjoy too; a few of the tracks feel like they could have been lifted from a lost Olivia Tremor Control album or something. https://jerrypaper.bandcamp.com/album/toon-time-raw
zerofiftyone Posted September 10, 2016 Also been enjoying the new Machinedrum track. I'm not super familiar with his output but it was a nice thing to have drop into my soundcloud feed.

Goggles Posted September 20, 2016 Been listening to a lot of electroswing while I do homework recently. The album <|°_°|> by Caravan Palace has a lot of good stuff, notably Lone Digger which is just gold. I would also recommend checking out Parov Stelar and Caro Emerald if you're interested in electroswing.
miffy495 Posted September 21, 2016 That album is so good. I use it for running and it's awesome for keeping pace.

Korax Posted September 28, 2016 DOOM soundtrack officially released. Just over two hours of audio. Long versions of level tracks (~6-8 min) with shorter interstitial music in between.
TheLastBaron Posted September 29, 2016 New Bon Iver, still don't know how I feel about it, but it's definitely Bon Iver
xchen Posted September 30, 2016 I love it (but I love experimental music)
Atlantic Posted September 30, 2016 I love experimental music too, but I don't think the new Bon Iver is very good. I think it's a lot of showy production on songs that are actually quite simple, sometimes just fragments of songs. No ideas are really developed or given room to breathe, which is fine as a deliberate choice, I just don't particularly like it.
Nappi Posted October 10, 2016 Can't wait for the new Leonard Cohen album. Also, Nicolas Jaar's new album Sirens is pretty fucking dope:
Vulpes Absurda Posted October 28, 2016 I've had this playing on a loop for like a week now: Maybe a Persona 5 spoiler? Pretty sure it ain't though.
TheLastBaron Posted November 4, 2016 Wasn't really expecting much out of it, but I'm actually really digging the new American Football album.

Mawd Posted November 14, 2016 Been loving Young Thug The refrain on this song might be annoying to some though Vince Staples' Primma Donna was pretty nice too, just really solid, nothing stood out though. David Byrne popping up on this De La Soul track was super neat DJ Khaled Major Key is real good too. Sick Prog rock R&B track
