Alex Posted April 17, 2008 No Promises Duncan loves GDC. More than his home country of Foreignland. He doesn't love you though, because you're lazy. Stop it.

Marek Posted April 18, 2008 I don't know how much that article makes sense to people who haven't been to GDC but I think it's an amazing article. There is a lot of truth in it.
Roderick Posted April 18, 2008 I've never been to GDC, but it's easy to imagine what it must feel like. Everyone who's ever seen a motivational speech knows abou tthe kind of empowering feeling you take with you, whcih quickly dissipates into a hollow longing. So it's not at all unreadable to the uninitiated. That said, nice article. I was more interested in the GDC stuff than the conclusive manifesto at the end, but don't take that as criticism. Jake Posted April 21, 2008 Great article, Duncan. That is spot on in its depressing...ness and also its optimism. Also "congrats" on getting linked on the front page of Kotaku with your Powerpoint thing! heh.
miffy495 Posted April 21, 2008 Yeah, I saw that too. Both are well done. More content! More, I say!
